@silvie Agreed! That would be so tiring. You're right , I had confused the counter effects of swampwalk with repel(I've seen people cheat swampwalk too).
However, I meant more to express that spells are complicated things that non magic folk shouldn't know every innate detail of.
Even if its something as simple as retreating because I know you can't keep your arm up forever.
Side note to @sevatar, that armor looked amazing!

^this confuses me, the only things that i was aware of that had a threshold this event were shield brood who couldn't hurt you anyway.
Human, Wearing Ornate Black plate armour with Gold iconography and a matching fullhelm adorned with a horse hair crest.
his shield is steely black with a golden rising sun upon its face.

Muinin - Thanks!
Quintus - It's quite possible that I thought various things had a threshold because they took so much of a beating I thought they weren't being hurt

Game was okay, couple con's tho
-having to go OOG for an hour on a day mod sucks
-breaking arrows, I didn't think that was a thing anymore
-tags on NPC weapons, if its tagged its loot, if you don't wanna take the tags off your weapons don't use them as an NPC

I will take the blame for the day-mod implantation issue. Didn't cross my mind that you'd choose to remove it immediately and be put out of commission during the day mod itself. An oversight on my part, and it will be taken into consideration going forward.

I would like to start by apologizing to Brian by giving him a hard time during the Chuggsy mod. Not going to go into details so just going to apologize. If you want or need an explanation send me a message Brian.
The event was a fun one. The combat was fun this event and the scenarios for them were well thought out. I didn't interact too much with NPC characters but have to say my interactions with Matty and Ryan were enjoyable. RP with other players made the day for me even when the RP was negative on an IG scale.
Only negative is the constant use of Massive damage and always will be a negative. You want to scare players....have the Ents swing for 15s and 20s. Hell, even 10's get the same effect. Massive just turns the monster into a creature for the few archers and the mages to attack since most PCs can't engage the creatures without likely cheating by not counting that the strikes go to both armour and body even if a weapon is used to try to block it. The town's healing resources aren't so plentiful that healing casters can pop off their spells like cherry bombs to keep people on their feet. It seems like Massive is used every single event at some point. This is not scary. It just makes PCs not want to fight these creatures at all. Not run in fear but just walk off into the woods until the NPC gets tired of the role and goes to find another. Harder hitting stats and some other Merc or Rogue skills to replace the massive will give the fear to fight the creatures that are using Massive to try to obtain the same effect.

Arrows are weapons, made by smiths, and technically weapons require shatter effects to break. Breaking arrows on a 3 count (or even a 1-count like at this event) is the same thing -rules wise- as me going up to you, grabbing your spear, and saying I break your spear on a three count. If you want to be anal about the rules.
But there is precedent in action for breaking arrows because of NPCs in the past doing this at Jericho and not being reprimanded for it. People argue for it because in reality arrows are frail and can break after wear.
My ideal solution to this is that all arrows simply expire after 3 months from the making date, so that you have to buy arrows 4 times a year to manage the upkeep costs of being able to shoot for silver or iron really cheaply (as opposed to making silver weapons) and to keep the realism of arrows not lasting forever.
This would need a rulebook edit in Jericho, but I'm not sure what sort of autonomy Ralinwood has with regards to rules implementation on this scale.

^ Agree, I just re-did all my arrows that week, they are better and stronger now. But You really need to be careful with the shafts cracking. One of mine was- and I only used these guys a hand full of things.

Constantine has it right. There is a precedent, and unfortunately it can be hard to moderate this occurrence. Thank you for letting us know about this, and we will make sure all of the people involved are well informed for next game.
