well from my perspective as an npc i think this one went pretty well, i know i had fun and got my combat itch scratched!
from this side looking on and fighting pc's i'm happy to note in my opinion that the player base is maturing nicely, combat is challenging and this event i didn't find myself worrying about overpowering people very often. boffer proficiency is miles away from what they were last year, incants are crisp, packet delivery and boffer strikes were safe for the most part, i don't think i saw a single hold called for injuries this game which is awesome.

i had a lot of fun! and took a lot of good photos.
saw lots of good costumes, too, but i think some of you over-dressed
it was nice to have so many people arrive early, but it did take a little bit for the game to start- but once it did it seemed to go at an alright pace.
the best mod was the fae kidnapping. the pc's ruined a perfectly good day, haha.
also, BOOM KOLBOLDS.

This was my first Ralinwood event, and after all the fun I had I'll definitely be back for more!
+ This colony is one giant frat party!
+ Having a choice of lords to swear to is a great mechanic which I'd love to see implemented elsewhere. The differing responsibilities and rewards offered by each makes for more variety in game experience, and having an option to take that doesn't involve monthly taxes gives a way for brand new, flat broke characters (*waves*) a way to exist without becoming even more broke. Not to mention the potential to get dragged into plot : )
+ The mission was uncomplicated, but resulted in enough variety in encounters to remain interesting. Great balance for a day mod.
+ Officially being treated to the most flirting in a single day then I have in any RP environment to date
+ Getting the chance to learn some faces and names, and start to figure out who my character would be comfortable around
-- It's over already?

This event looked to be fairly well organized and well run. I didn't see a lot of it, and there were a few tweaks that maybe could be made, but otherwise pretty good overall.
+Chuggsy is always fun
+New lord. The dresses are for his lady. The dog is Lady! Wait, what are the dresses for?
+Town drama
+Getting drunk after the fighting was all over
+Having lots of armour saved my bacon
+Being the human quiver for a very good archer, and good RP from the treants
+Good NPC costuming for the nobles (Nice shirt lord Curum!) and Kitsune.
+Recovered maps and letters.
+Very honest bandits.
+NPCs did a great job RPing and fighting.
-Brood egg surgery required? Maybe the PCs mis-interpreted what happened, but when you pay for a 5 hour day mod and have to spend an hour sitting on your butt recovering from surgery, and 30 minutes on top of that waiting for a physician to RP the surgery and etc, it is best saved for weekend events. I guarded one of my camp mates that had surgery and both of us only saw the first and last mod because of it.
-Things swinging for enough acid that each swing was essentially a body vital blow for most of the playerbase. Save that for Jericho.
-Not a lot for non-fighters to do. The last mod was great if you were one of the like 15 armoured fighters, but most of the rest milled around the back of the group looking bored.

I was really impressed with how I saw the players organize and fight in combat. An effective sheild wall was employed at a really perfect time. Good job guys!
Being part of a mod where everyone fawned over me and fed me candy and drinks was astounding. Ralinwood could be a premier vacation destination!
I really love the variety in characters , it seemed like everyone I approached had really interesting personal quirks.
My only con, and I saw this a few times. When a spell like repel is used, don't nessessarily run for cover. It seemes silly to me that every random merc or rogue NPC or otherwise should know that losing eye contact breaks it.
Electra had me repelled for almost ten minutes and it was one of the best combatht scenarios I'd had all day.

Per usual,, I had a blast!! Let''s just jump into it!!
++Drunk Doyly shenanigans!! Being tricked into drinking 2//3''s of my stamina away in 1 slip was amazing.. Being Drunk Doyly is a treat!! Whether it be me ""Fixing"" armour by hitting people for 1 normal,, calling a Brood stupid until he hit me with Acid that I had Resist Toxin for and continuing to call him stupid,, or eating not 1,, but 2 of the Fae''s drugged Candy!! Best 8 minutes of game for me!!
++God Doyly!! Having the Frog People surround me,, I was getting worried I was about to get robbed again if not for my friends being there and me having a Magic Armour.. But when they started bowing and marking me as their ""Stone God"" I had no word.. I may have been traded for a bag of guts for a few minutes....But besides that it was great!!
++My Guard!! Like Always I love having my Guard around and seeing some old faces I didn''t expect to see in it was pleasantly surprising!!
++The RP with everyone!! PC and NPC alike!! It was all so much fun and great to see all of you again!!
++Loot was awesome this game!! There was a bunch and not all of it was shit,, or amazing.. I found a bunch of this like RM or things worth a few silver a piece,, not to mention a few straight up silver.. It was fun and different to some event where there either is barely any loot,, a bunch of worthless stuff,, or so much good things it starts to off balance things..
++Getting a Surgery done!! Just laying there and having people RP about doing a Surgery was pretty fun!! I know not everyone would like it as much as I did,, but I also enjoyed standing still for a hour and a half in the Spider Cave,, so.. Having a Marshal use the metaphor ""plaster covered pumpkin"" a bunch to describe Doyly and his insides was amazing..
++The Part with the Food!! For those who don''t know,, I made the macaroni balls for the Pot Luck,, and was glade to hear most of you liked them!! The food was great and it was nice to all sit around and eat,, kinda like on High Winter,, but still have a lot of RP go on with the Nobles and Fae and each other!! I also took one too many sweets because that''s what I do as Doyly and I shall pay for it later..
++Having the Nobles around again.. That was nice..
And now the con
--Not having enough time to get everything I wanted done.. The one and only downside to Day Mods!!
A Gargylen with a broken left horn, favouring a shield, and has a child like wonderment towards everything. He is also Head of the Hospital Guard, and due to recent events his Horns are now Blue and slightly sparkles.

Best of the 3 day-mods I've been to! Action packed and full of awesome moments!
Pros:
+ Playing a front-line fighter character again, since it's the playstyle I've preferred.
+ Magic adding the flavour to my PC's combat!
+ Kobolds being a threat for once, rather than just an annoyance. KABOOM!
+ Chasing and trying to kill Vali for stealing my goods I was attempting to sell.
+ Grimnir paying me an extra silver for my goods after attempting to run Vali through with a flaming blade.
+ Showdown with Adam's NPC bandit and RPing while fighting
"Hey pointy-ear?"
"Did you just call me 'pointy-ear'?"
*Adam nods*
"Alright fucker, YOU AND ME!"
+ Performing a clean dodge-roll away from the ent's massive attack
+ Good variety of tag-skills in use by NPC's
+ I now know how it feels to be 'tapped out' of spells for the day. XD
+ Loot was really good this game in both coin and tags.
+ Enjoyed the town rallying during the last mod and all pushing in together.
+ Introducing a new pc to his first game and being his guide to the world of UWLARP.
+ Good variety of food at the pot-luck dinner and I like that it was all IG as well!
Cons:
- High acid damage is a little much for some PC's to take. My PC can take one hit of 5-6 but any more than that or even taking 2 at once is a little much.
- Not a big deal, but I saw a few PC's that I know for a fact were not first-timers running around with untagged weapon reps. Not sure what the ruling on that is, but I was under the impression all weapon reps must be tagged unless it is your first ever game.
Overall, a very good day-mod with only a few minor issues! Thanks everyone who came out, everyone who brought food, NPCed and shaped!

(I cannot for the life of me figure out how this quoting thing works. Sorry this is confusing)
I am legitimately confused by what you mean by this. I have never seen a repelled creature run for cover from a repel. It's concentration so theoretically I could maintain it for hours until you came back so long as I fulfilled the other requirements (never would though, too exhausting). The spell that breaks from cover is bind, and it makes perfect sense to run for cover if you're bound since the vast majority of people/animals can't fight without their arms, so why stay and fight? The other ones also break from line of sight being broken but only bind has feet still free to move.
on to my review:
+ I had a ton of fun with pretty much everything, I don't have a ton of specific pros to mention though I'm afraid.
+/- I like that the concequences of killing the wood fae were the treeants being let loose on town cause I think too often the solution is kill everything, but this was a super depressing mod cause I wanted so badly to try and make things right and help the treants but they would just wander around swinging massive and wouldn't stop attacking people who attacked them. One person screwing that up with no way to fix it isn't a lot of fun.
- I agree with constantine that for a day mod, necessary surgury is awful cause it takes you out of the game for too long. It's no fun for anyone who has to sit out, and for their friends who have to guard them.
- again first said by constantine. Too much "5 acid" stuff. If I wasn't a nature mage that would have been even worse since I'm lvl 3 and only have 4 body. APL seems to suggest that 5 acid is too much. On the salamanders especially but also from the brood.
- looks like constine and I agree on a lot of things, geez. Final mod not a lot of fun. The enforced confinement of being in a small space was a neat idea in theory but not in practice. If you weren't a front line fighter or a blacksmith or healer you just stood there awkwardly not doing anything useful. Not too fun.

Lots of fun.
Pros:
+ NPC camp did a great job of keeping things moving along. There was very little downtime, and it helped keep things flowing very well.
+ Having armour for the first time in a long time.
+ Watching the special surgery was fun.
+ Exploding kobolds.
+ The potluck! The food was great. Thank you to the people who brought the food, it was delicious.
Cons:
+/- The surgery downtime may have been a bit much for those unlucky enough to get implanted, but it does give the Doctors a chance to do their thing. Maybe not at a day mod
+/- Felt like I better not get involved in most of the combats if I didn't have a silver weapon, which is fair, and I'm sure I'd feel differently if I did have a silver weapon, so it gives me something to work towards IG.
Piece of garbage fire looking Einher.
