Thanks for a lovely time! I wish I had been able to be present for the whole event.

Pros:
- thank you to the people who graciously got me through log after game had started
- so many bards!
- so many aja!
- I felt that those of us with non-combat skills were more useful than usual. After a run of indoor winter mods, a first outdoor mod can sometimes be very combat oriented. It was nice that we still had things to do.
- Levi and his amazing rats

Cons:
- traders seemed to be carrying the same tags as the trader before them, and sometimes the prices did not feel as if they reflected game economy.
- I left my book with another bard! If you have it, please hang onto it for me for next event!

I spent a lot of time hiding in the warm cabin so I didn't quiiiiite get to interact with all of plot/the mods, so I'll just write a review based on what I did, since the one mod I did heavily interact with was one of the best I've ever seen NPC'd and they really really deserve props for that.

The Good
This is gunna be a bit long but please bear with me. The aforementioned mod was the one where a bunch of us got our liquid lungs and picked anemones for the monster hunter's guild, with some murkers and crabs thrown in for good measure. We were under a swamp walk affect since we were underwater, they were not.

A lot of time I see NPCs kinda falling into the same strategy while playing a crunchy or random enemy, something along the lines of "hit the players lots, guard my back, add whatever mechanics creature has". It's a good standard when you might be asked to play three different enemies that you aren't super familiar with, but sometimes they can feel samey or odd. The murkers in this mod had a very clear, easy to follow internal logic, especially when dealing with the vampires.

They would smack us ineffectively, see us hit them for a crapload, and run away. They would try blinds or other alchemy that doesn't effect us, see us no-sell it, and swim away. Then they figured out acid worked, and we got peppered with it. Sometimes three or four would gang up on us. Watching the murkers go through a process of elimination not only felt right for these sentient fish people, but also made their eventual tidal wave of acid feel incredibly fair since obviously they'd tried everything else and that's what hurt us. It also made me pretty cautious towards the end when they would gang up on me, because you better believe they could have nickle and dimed all my BP away.

I can't say that mod would have gone as well if you had people who were intent on rolling it regardless of other players' enjoyment, but for the players we had I think it was both really well NPC'd and did a good job of keeping those with an natural advantage cautious.

The Less Good
It was cold as balls the moment the sun started going down. I know that's kinda unavoidable and that people really want full day mods at site, but our tavern events have been pretty great and I wouldn't have been heartbroken if we'd had another instead. Granted, this exact plot wouldn't have been very practical as an indoor day mod unless we were in a pretty big space.

My only other issues with event were player based rather than anything the plot team could have helped so there endeth the complaints.

Personal Highlights
- Demetria realizing I do not, in fact, have a head cold.
- "I'm going to fucking murder Leon." "As a Celeste follower I can't approve of that." "I'm really passionate about murdering Leon?" "Oh that's okay then."
- "EUGH".
- Jeff's Minotaur's uncomfortable gusto about retelling nicefighting. Jeff's Minotaur in general.
- The warm cabin in general. Lots of good RP and tea.
- Getting to see Dustin's forge rep. Like all his stuff it's really nicely done, I'm glad it finally made an appearance.
- Managing to dominate a murker and watching the poor little dude 1v4 the other murkers when I demanded it protect me. Rest in pieces you magnificent bastard.
