Question that was brought up, does the ralinwood chapter allow first time players an automatic 30 armor point aura without reps or do they still need reps? I know that jericho allows it.

i actually don't hate this idea though it should be repp'd by an armband of some kind so people aren't constantly harassing them about not taking hits. maybe a head/arm band for the first game. how to they rationalize the armour in game at jericho? who gave them the aura? why? why doesn't it stay? (i've had the same question about the in game logistics for characters who die their first event but thats another topic) coming in as a combat character with no armour blows but coming into a game where you need to potentially pay a pretty penny for reps while running the risk that you don't actually like the game kinda sucks worse.
*i think casters deserve every bit of their squishiness however #witchhuntersamirite?

Hey, good question. At Ralinwood we do require reps, for two reasons.
First, because that way there's no ambiguity about the locations covered and whether the new player has basically got a free sap-proof and garrote-proof out of the deal. Second, because it sucks for everyone else if you see someone walking alone on a path in the wee hours and you can't tell whether he is armed to the teeth or wearing a cotton shirt.
Is this a question or a one off, or is it a recurring concern? If there are lots of people struggling with first time armour, we could look into doing armour rental the same way that we do weapon rental. But we couldn't afford to do that past first game, or all our reps would be out all the time and our NPCs would be naked.
