Alaxel hauls herself to her feet, brushes off her pants and walks up to the tavern to stand beside Kare, playing with the now-white willow switch all the while. She cocks her head, eyes the Aja's clothing curiously, then smiles. "The way everybody is acting, either you've got a reputation behind you, or you're new. What is your name, sir?"

Alaxel chuckles at Kare. "Doctor, someone has to play that role, thankfully this place isn't so backwater that a blade would make the first greeting. I've seen those! You don't want to find yourself anywhere nearby."
She turns to Stefan and performs a sweeping bow of her own. "So I can tell, Stefan. My name is Alaxel Vane, a humble merchant. At your service." She shakes his hand after a brief moment's pause.
