A pyre at Dawn (TS Sept 18th sunrise)

Ash burries herself under Callum's cloak and looks up towards him, offering him a weary smile as thanks.

[Shaper Raccoon]

Looking down at ash Callum says "I should help build the pyre, Will ye be alright?"

[Sigurd Vask]

"Not a problem." Grimnir dropping the skid and grabbing the small logs he had gathered, making a rectangular base to lay the skid upon, "This skid will support his body and any gifts we wish to send him off with. We will need some tinder to go between the logs." He glances around as he continues setting logs he had gathered in place until they are four high.

[Quiet]

*Sven comes out of the trees with a sack full of kindling and begins to arrange it at the base of the structure to allow the flames to catch the logs easily*

[Sigurd Vask]

Grimnir nods to Sven, pulling out a small amount of cloth and soaking it in whiskey from his flask. "I was saving this for my pyre, just in case." He gave a sad smile, "It will send him off well." He helps Sven with the kindling while the cloth sits in the alcohol.

[Quiet]

*Sven pulls out a bottle of mead labeled "Troll killer" takes a sip and passes it to Grinning*

"We will be having send off drinks no?"

[Sigurd Vask]

"Perhaps, but we will need everyone here. I am sure some will be sending gifts with him to the afterlife." Grimnir takes a sip and looks to the heavens, "This is going to be a somber day and I am not happy we are sending even more people to afterlife. The cabin and now this."

[Quiet]

*Sven starts muttering quietly under his breath and shakes his head*

"I guess you're right my friend"

*he starts back into the trees to get more wood*

Having not left ash's side, Callum answers Grimnir, "Aye, It seems every month someone takes a journey to the gods."

[Sigurd Vask]

Grimnir does the same, using the skid to once more grab a large amount of wood. "Ms. Aminata, please do have everyone ready once the pyre is prepared?"
