Sevatar looks between the group and nods to Riven, and then Carrion, and then starts to dance off with some invisible figure into the distance.

"Well, this was terribly fun but I think I'll leave you kids be." she rises and dusts herself off, heading off towards the tavern.

He tilts his head, seeming to mull it over. "I doubt many people would be interested in my sermons, but perhaps a talk of another sort is long overdue. For now, however, we should let poor Lamalas say his piece."

Leaning against a tree Serene watches for awhile before speaking to Sevatar. "Sybil was once like the other therians I was told. The mystics and shamans of my adopted tribe spoke of her taming the wild beast of raw passion and teaching those of us who were...similarly touched. There were rites and rituals that we passed through growing up that would show us the way to control ourselves in her light. Our tribal traditions aren't very dated, only a few hundred years we knew about her and followed her, but time for us was different than your time flow. I...."
She pauses for a moment. "..used to follow her. Back when All of us who were touched did. But I find my feet on harder paths now, and her hunt is not mine."
Turning to Lamalas, "I am interested in these gods of the Einher. It was the old ones who became drunk with power and got themselves killed, do you think that these new ones are just as flawed Lamalas? I speak not to cause offense but to understand. I find it strange for an Olgat' Thalan to follow the gods of a race I've only ever seen war with."

Sevatar spins near Serene for a few moments. "Do you know Emanne? Ask her to come back to Ralinwood again."

The Old God's -Turning to Serene- Were powerful, yes, but I do not think they were "drunk" with power. They faced off against the GodKiller knowing what their fates would be. They knew that their connections to their own realms were severed and they sacrificed everything to save us mortals. Theirs was not a flawed life, it was the most honorable thing one could possibly do. When Valdr lifted the items left behind by their sacrifice, He was granted their power, the Runes granted him their knowledge and wisdom. People often insult the Savage Gods because they are young to this world, but if the variety of races in this very town can teach us anything, it is that years pass differently for different races. Who is to say that one year to us is not a life time to Them?

"Could you explain that theory, Lamalas?" Carrion asks, seeming curious. "I strive ever to better understand the nature of the gods, but that idea wasn't one that crossed my mind. Some races do mature faster, but they are typically the shorter lived. The gargylen are born almost as adults and immortal, but even they are still ignorant of anything they haven't learned in their short years. I had always thought that time would seem to pass very slowly for the gods, and that what's an eternity to us is a few moments to them, rather than the opposite."

Serene glances at Sevatar, "I have been told the name before but I don't know her personally I'm afraid. I tend to avoid those who follow Sybil, bad blood you see."
Turning back to speak to Lamalas, "Potentially Lamalas. Granted I've always seen every god and goddess and firstborn as being flawed in some way. It's seeing their flaws and knowing how to either exploit or manipulate them that allows some of us to keep living. I don't mean it maliciously either, simple fact as I see it. For example Valdr cursed Haldora through the trickery of another god Sverin did he not? I cannot see a susceptibility to smooth words or quick decisions being an overly good thing. There are good and bad with everything in life, and each facet has as many virtues if not more than the negatives but you cannot blind yourself to things that are wrong. Then you become just another Zealot burning elves because your people tell you it's right."
As she reaches the end of her words the branch she had been holding snapped suddenly and she shakes her head, clearly angry but calming down.

-To Carrion- It is my theory that God's do not Age as us Mortals do. Even our immortal kin, like the Garglyn. I believe that when a God is Ben, they age almost immediately, to an age where they can understand things that go on around them. When Valdr gained the Knowledge of the Runes, and his third eye, he gained all the knowledge of the past, all the knowledge that was once held by Odin. To judge him oh his years on this mortal coil is foolish. The same can be said for the others that were hatched. How would Magnora know to craft such wonders if she was an infant, or Sverin to be so crafty and manipulative?
