Notice of Absence

[Promises]

Dear Ralinwood and Persistent Visitors,

It has become necessary that I take a journey. 

I intend to return by, at the latest, June. I suspect I will be here by May, or as early as March. Regardless, I'll return.

Some orders of business...

With Regards to the Ralinwood Arcanist Collective:

• Demetria is receiving messages for me.
  
• If the remaining two councilors attempt to have a vote, she has been granted the ability to belay the vote until I return.
  
• No elections will commence until I return, or June, should I perish on the road.
  
• A copy of the charter has been left with Demetria. Aeval, I believe, has received one from me as well.
  
• I will be attempting to journey to their headquarters to introduce myself and see if I can further the status of our Collective.
  

With Regards to the Bounty Hunter's Guild:

• The election is still planned for May.
  
• In the mean time, Callum is the acting-acting leader. Isn't that chain of deference getting delightful?
  
• The above is done by seniority. Sven has been appointed to higher office, albeit sans pinky.
  
• I reserve the right to veto any members approved by Callum, just like Kraye has for the ones I have inducted.
  

With Regards to the Lord Vintner  Hospital:

• You do realize we have one, right?
  
• Barley is working her ass off to keep it running.
  
• Go help out. Remedies, extended potions, volunteering in the guard...
  
• I will gladly resume the duties of my position when I return, Barley, but this town needs to stop neglecting the very foundation of its safety and continued existence. If someone motivated and fit goes for the position...
  

I still half expect to see the town burned down, again, when I return. I do love surprises, though.

Some other highlights from my experience here while I'm gone...

• If someone in a pointy hat needs help doing a ritual but can't tell you the name or show you the scroll, that's a bad thing.
  
• If someone says their is a bounty on someone, you should first check to see if you are a bounty hunter. If not, don't do the thing. If yes, check the handbill. If they don't match the person on the handbill, don't assault them. Or get them so drunk they pass out.
  
• Disregard the advice from others. Our moments of having the sun focus on ourselves seem to have made some of us too drunk on the attention of it all to realize the miseries we are propagating. I don't expect I'm innocent of this either.
  

I'll miss you, Ralinwood, but there are things to be found and answers to be had. My packing has finished and I suspect I'll be gone by late afternoon. Interested parties have until about then to find me.

If anyone runs into Lilith, I'd appreciate it if you told her I missed her.
