Hey folks,
I keep getting e-mails telling me there are join requests to the Emerald Camp forums. There have been about 15 of them in the last month, some repeat customers, others not. But the e-mail alerts don't say why you want to join (or who you are in some cases, I don't know everyone's forum handles and some people don't use their character names), and I don't think there is a way to see requests on the group management system like applications.
So I would like to ask that you just make a thread in the forum and say hi to all of us and ask to join the camp through an in game interaction instead of spamming my inbox please. Even if I could see them as out-of-game applications, I still would rather the whole camp have an IG interaction with you first, please and thank you.

My brother and I are getting similar requests. I think there may be a glitch in the system? Anytime we get a request we check to see which invites are pending to be accepted under the group tab but there aren't any.

After reading the thread on the ralinwood facebook group I now believe that every camp moderator is getting join request e-mails when someone requests to join any forum, regardless of which one

A Gargylen with a broken left horn, favouring a shield, and has a child like wonderment towards everything. He is also Head of the Hospital Guard, and due to recent events his Horns are now Blue and slightly sparkles.

I'm not a forum wizard, but if I had to guess, all of the camp leaders are in the same 'user type', and whenever a join request is sent it's being sent to everyone of the same user type.

OK! I have been looking into it and I still don't know why it is sending emails to EVERYONE, but I have fixed it...Kind of.
I have removed the option to 'Join Group". Moderators are still able to add and remove members, but people are no longer able to join groups willy nilly.
Let me know if this solves the problem. Thank you for your patience.
