"I have come seeking opportunity to study, trade, and hone myself before I might return to my people. This is the final lesson of my apprenticeship before I can join the magi and loremasters of my people - I must learn the skills necessary to conjure the portal the brings me home.
I had started my trip in Jericho, but found the culture too restrictive - magi were registered and forced to go to considerable efforts to please their masters while being curtailed in their efforts for personal study by strict and overwhelming bureaucracy at every turn. I travelled south by land hoping to find the end of the Conclave's dominion but when offered the choice of Suvant or Duvain I chose the latter. If things do not lend themselves to study here either I shall probably head back up to Suvant.
Your northern climes do have their own charm though, so I shall have to hope I can find an amenable culture to settle down and study."

There is a shrine plainly dedicated to Physignathus visible about twenty feet from the gate. At the far side to the approaching duo is Sevatar, in his usual green robe, with his staff braced against his shoulder. He calls out without turning his head from the gate, "Hail."
