That Damn Skein Gate Lights Up Again ((T.S. 9:30 am, Nov 4 / 2258 - Andrei Katrares - 11-04-2016
*Once again, the Skein Gate flares up and this time spits out a Fire Elf, who stumbles on the way out. The fire elf wears knee-high riding boots, a brown robe with gold embroidery to knee-length, and studded leather vest. Regaining his footing, he hoists up his pack and starts walking slowly towards the tavern direction.*

*A masked Humanoid creature lays crumpled against the wall of the tavern. He is wearing a fluffy brown and white patterned coat with light blue designs around the base. As the Fire Elf approaches, his head creaks upward. He quietly rasps*
"Designation. Cindus'Thalan. 'Ahlaan sadiqi"
*For the last two words, his accent changes completely*

*The fire elf squints at the humanoid addressing him.*
"Marhaban... I must admit I am unsure whom or what I am addressing. I do not recall our having met, though your greeting implies some familiarity. I am named Ferdouz. Is this place Duvain?"

"Rashada. Desert. I ssseen your kind before"
*He waves in a creaky fashion*
"Thisss isss Ralinwood, on the island massss known as Duvain."
*He pauses, adding*
"I am Blank"

*Ferdouz smiles.*
"Indeed, we are all blank in a manner of speaking. Yet I take your meaning to mean that you are called Blank."
*Ferdouz bows.*
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, friend. Thank you for your insight into these whereabouts. As a mage, is there some local custom regarding magi I should be aware of? In previous travels of human lands some manner of registration was required upon arrival. Where might I view the laws of his place?"

*He raises up to his feet*
"I am going to get juice now"
*He waddles off toward his tent unless stopped*

*Ferdouz frowns a bit and waves.*
"Thank you again for your kindness friend. Enjoy your refreshments."
*He plops to the grass and drops his pack. He pulls out a small quill, inkwell, and parchment. Sitting cross-legged on the ground he makes a few notes, then puts the things away and lies down, staring at the sky.*

Ursel exits the tavern with a basket in hand, pausing when she sees the stranger on the ground. She approaches, doing a slight double take when she gets a closer look at him. "Are you alright, fratello?"

*Ferdouz takes a minute to snap out of his daydreaming.*
"I am fine, thank you for asking - your kindness is appreciated. I am merely reflecting on the travels that have lead me here, and thinking on my next course of action."
*He sits up, roots through his bag until he finds his waterskin, and takes a drink.*
"Would you happen to know where I can find someone named Sev... Sav-something Loken?"

Ursel smiles. "Sevatar Loken? If you two have business I can lead you to him, I was headed that way myself, but I'm afraid he cannot leave his current location."
She offers him a hand.
