I sadly cannot give a full and fair review of this event. Having a sudden and unexpected hospital trip Friday night sort of threw the rest of the event into a different light. If it weren't for having a rider I probably would have gone home straight after. With that being said...

Pros- The fast acting and help of NPC camp when I suddenly stopped breathing was awesome. You guys are in the ball. Also, that Medical Hold note that was on my tent allowed me to recover without worry. Sadly I missed out on the fun of Morty that I had been looking forward to for weeks. Side note, Trenton, if you're putting a note on someones tent, not always mandatory to wake them up just to tell them they can sleep....:-|

Slime! Dustin you always bring out the best plots. Everytime a slime appears people tend to just punch it. Having things getting stuck to this one was great. I went through 2 Bolster Potions and an entire Barkskin just pulling those damned Psi Daggers out to kill it. Which subsequently led to...

Eating a slime. Daocean and Jade(sorry can't remember your draconians name) and Lam becoming "parents" to a "pregnant" Lam was hilarious. Walking around with this thing moving inside me and being threatened by some and followed by others was great.

Dying. Lams second death, and while I always hate dying, it is a natural part of the game. To those involved, you guys did great and I'm not angry at you OOG like you were worried I would be. On that note, people who get angry at their characters dying, come on guys, it's a game. We all get shitty hands once in a while but that's the fun of a game.

Idols. As it was mentioned, having all the idols repped with different random objects was really cool and made the entire event more interactive. Having to lug around sometimes big and bulky items made it an actual choice between loot and being able to move around.

Sunday morning. All of Sunday was great, from being turned into mostly ooze, eating plates and pinecones, Maxis face when I are a Gold...all that to was great. -Lips smacking- Hey Riven....you gonna eat that? "My sword?" Yeah...looks tasty...."I'm saving it for later" Oh...want to share? Some of the most interesting to I've ever done. 10/10 would play a PC Ooze. Let's make this happen Dustin!

Surgery. Omg Oswald is amazing when frustrated. Regeneration, Repels and Minimize makes for a difficult surgery I'm sure. "Oh looks, his ribs...he doesn't need all of those". I have no idea how I kept a straight face the whole time.

Cons.

This is a personal one that I only know one person to have experienced before. So because of a mixture of keeping it easy due to hospital and trying to stay accessable for personal plot that kept seeming to be postponed ( Not angry Ivanna, I get things get hectic) I ended up staying around Tavern for most of the event and only went on 2 mods. This event was booooooring because of that. There was much going on but I couldn't join. The reason I bring this up is because I seriously think we as a player base take advantage of our amazing Tavern keep. I'm guilty of it, which is horrible because I'm her son. Jannika doesn't get to go on mods or participate in most things because she is "just a tavern keep" (a phrase I've heard three times this event from three different people.) When things happen in the tavern, I've seen her try to get involved just to be ignored or stepped infront of becauae the "real" roleplayers are there. I'm not pointing fingers or anything, but maybe next time your in the tavern enjoying the non-stop access to hot food and cold drinks, stop and tell Jannika a story, or hell, tip your server for all those potions she pours down our mouths to keep us alive.

Just my two silver. Thanks again NPC team for a great event, will see you all soon!

My event was amazing!

My NPC shift on Friday was great! I should have given higher odds on town just giving us back the statue, ahh well. Wild elves stalking through the woods was super fun to play, plus it is just fun to have a bit of variety to the stuff you get to do over the weekend. But other than my turn on the other wise, I don't think I interacted with that plot whatsoever for the rest of my time at game. Well other than seeing a few poor fools get stuck to the past of stickyness-ed idol when it was at the tavern, and one captured wild elf who bit out his own tongue.

Morning-geist was very terrifying and great! It was a switch to be hiding in terror in the daylight, for sure! I am enjoying people trying to sort out the new lore, vis a vis who he will go after who can affect him, or potentially kill him, and so on. I definitely heard contradictory things, at least at first, and a few theories that I believe went untested!

I think the only true 'mod' I went on was the Tower one, which was ridiculously fun! And as others said, also made for some interesting practical training, and gave me a chance to ask some questions and maybe get a few answers.

The loom of shenanigans. Zia has regrets about giving certain people ideas when she is close enough to suffer the consequences. But the RP from the effect she fell under was amazing! From Magnar trying to make her feel better, to various people coming to try and check on her , it was really excellent, and I think Zia learned a few things from the experience as well, and got to bond with some different people.

And from all that, I was inspired to be a little more proactive, which led to some other great RP, including my Augury and some cool conversations with Lilith. Basically, despite never really interacting with the 'main' plot, I had lots of interesting things to do. *And* I reached the point in the shawl I was working on where it made more sense to finish it when I got home than to leave it sitting until next game, so now it is done! and I need a new game project. But Zia has a new shawl!

Anyway - it was super great! I'm not sure I have any real cons, other than having to leave early, again. *sigh*. Someday I'll get to make it to a full event again....someday!

I was not around a whole lot, but from what I experienced. This was a really good game.

TOWER. YES. Due to the nature of my character I love everything that goes on with the tower.
As an extension, that tower mod. The mod itself was great. The NPCs were great. It was great.
Having tradesman be useful! Shapers, keep doing what you are doing. You guys make it feel like I have not wasted my CP.

Another great weekend for plot, and I'm actually glad to have an event that is so dangerous to PCs. It really brings the fear back into the game.

One thing though is we've noticed that the tavern prices are all over the place, and inconsistent. Each event, I've found the prices for the same meal is different. Perhaps we could look into an official price list? Ivanna also used to prepost the menu on the group before game, letting people ask for certain meals (vegetarian for example). This would allow for the kitchen to know approximately how much food to buy, especially those less popular items.

Ramsey, again, is a superhero, though he sometimes has the worst (for me) timing. I think he thinks it's funny to bring it up when it is least convienent.

Dustin's mods this weekend we're all also excellent, they were complex with straightforward mechanics that made them a lot of fun. The only one that bugged me was the rival matriarch mod, because there is no good IG way to explain that all of the people I am required to present had to leave site. I think Ivanna realized halfway through, giving me an out to use.

Dan was the perfect Mortigeist. He was amazing. 20/10.

There were some issues with the Saturday night mod, though much of it was due to PC disorganization. People were crushing against each other far too much, trapping many of us in the middle. So many people stepped on my feet they were very bruised by the time we were done. Perhaps I was bumped into more than most, due to the nature of my costuming and makeup, but oww.

All and all, excellent game. Everyone's RP was on point. The Savage stuff was awesome, and I'm sorry I missed a bunch of it for loom stuff. Even being murdered was kind of fun, though I was annoyed at the time. Also, it was nice to get back to Magnora and church plot.

This event was really great. I found the season started off strong with our first tavern event and it's continued to be consistent all season. Thank you so much Dan, Ivanna, all the shapers and the NPCs this event, and of course our wonderful log team. You guys have all been putting in so much effort each event and I really appreciate the hard work that each of you do. ♡

Pros:

▪ The Morningeist! Dan coming out first thing Saturday morning was a brilliant idea. I was up super late the night before and there were quite alot of PCs who had decided to stay up later than usual. Sending out the Mortigeist so earlier was completely unexpected and a fantastic idea.

▪ The Mages Tower mod run by Brent. It was so much fun and we all had a good time. The limited movement caused I think just the right amount of worry and concern for a more light hearted mod. Hoping there might be another type of Mages Tower mods of this level in the future.

▪ The Loom back lashes are so interesting and entertaining. They add elements of RP that most PCS wouldn't be doing.

▪ RAMSAY! Ramsay is fantastic. I loved the mod he ran in the Mages Tower. Shout out to Jeff and Rachel for being just as amazing ♡

▪ The ooze fight in town was a great idea. I heard lots of newer, lower level players, and scholar types were very excited to be able to fight something and not immediately get taken down.

Cons:

▪ Being able to have a Tavern at site to buy food is lovely but it hasn't been very consistent. The prices seem to always be different depending on who's running the Tavern at the time. I also find that there's been a serve lack of vegetarian options this past year. I could be wrong? But maybe if we did what we used to do where Ivanna posted a menu before game with prices then it would be more consistent, we'd know what is being served each day, and maybe let people know what the vegetarian options might be. I don't know if there are any options each game which is kind of frustrating because I can't and really shouldn't eat meat. I found the way the menu used to be posted before each event very helpful.

▪ The night mod of the Wither Wings idols was very confusing. I get what NPC camp was trying to do but it was also very dangerous because PCs were getting trampled on because it was so dark and chaotic.

Overall, this event was great. I loved the fact that this was very much "Run and Hide." We're not always able to defend ourselves and I like when the game sometime has that element of horror to it. Thanks again everyone and I can't wait to see you all next time!

oh man here we go

Pros:

- Phil is too good as an NPC. He kicked my ass real good.
- Doing everything right and still losing
- being dead Sat morning and watching Dan's Mortigeist shenanigans
- GOD PLOT. holy shit was not expecting this. I'm happy I got to lead people in something I'm passionate about
- Finally getting to sing my "fuck you ll'yandra" song and have people in town enjoy it. I was so nervous but it went so well. also the resulting RP with Jordan
- NPLing my butt off. Awesome experiences with new players make everything worth it
- choosing not to go on the big mod Saturday night. The internal struggle regarding Wild Elves gave me an awesome RP opportunity and I loved it. no regrets.

Neutral:

- JUSTIN'S SNORING IS WONDERFUL, DENBY
- Grim/Oz RP scene overshadowing my performance. I understand that it happens, but it was a big moment for me and I felt pushed to the side.

Cons:

- people being shitty. I should really get used to it by now
- in regards to aforementioned god plot: working/rping my butt off and not so much as a blessing. Very unfulfilling
- poor npc decisions during the opening mod
- feeling capped out. I have been pouring my heart into RP and I feel that it goes unnoticed; that maybe I have set the bar too high and have a hard time reaching it anymore.

Pros:
  •  I liked the Chit system, my medication knocks me out at night so it was nice to have a good system in place for that
  • More Haldora/Spirit Eater stuff
  • Morningeist – I liked that it was first thing Saturday morning because it meant not having to hide the entire weekend dreading when it would come out. Running around town and freaking out whenever you spotted him was fun, as was jumping at every little noise when some of us actually managed to get away from the main area he seemed to be lingering. It even lead to talking to some players I may not have normally talked to as we all ran away to escape
  • Haru, loved heading off from town to go hide with him when we heard there was a chance Morti might come out again. The small conversations we had about his time scouting and then the dilemma I ran into when thinking about all the people who could use healing. It melted Jun’s heart when he came back and said he wanted to make sure she was okay.
  • Sneaky Wilder (I think). It was a little too dark for me to tell what it was, but I think it was a wilder that started approaching us Saturday night by the tavern, which some of the elves mistook for a shattered elf/Morti. Ushering them away and staying behind to make sure it didn’t chase them was fun. Thinking he left was also a mistake. He literally crawled up to me, and that amused me so much out of game, the fact that I didn’t notice until it was too late. Luckily there were others around. His reply when I spotted him trying to sneak through the tavern after was great. Really reminded me to pay attention to my surroundings!
  • The Loom – Being fully aware the loom is a problem and being approached by Demi when she thought she was an Aja. Storming over towards the loom to immediately be affected by it in the process.
  • Stabbing Riven 38 times because the Loom made me think he was cheating. Watching his face as I slowly broke his armor. “1 Normal, 1 normal, 1 normal…” Being told while doing this that I should make the girl he was cheating on me with pay.
  • Ramsay, you asked me a question, I answered. Your reaction to the answer was the best. Guess I’m doing something right. You know what the question was Smile
  • Living through the whole game to die in the last maybe…30 minutes of game. Made me want to laugh since I thought I was honestly going to final, and taking one death wasn’t bad at all. Interested to see where things go from this.
  • Trying to be a tough Warden and protect Ursel, only for my attack to do nothing and find out later I hit Vrael and that Ursel was enraged. Oops...

Cons:
  • I liked the chit system, but glow sticks don’t glow in the morning and I got stabbed when I was barely able to register what was happening. Decided to take the stabbing since someone was there to help me, but that might be a thing to consider?

This reminded me, and I recognize that this might not be the best place for it - but I think it would be good for players to know what it is that marks people/places as OOG as well, so we don't go harassing people accidentally.  If this was said at announcements then I missed it as I was on my NPC shift.
