Combat and You
#1
A few reminders and notices about things that have been asked a lot frequently. Thanks for reading!

Arrows don't break.
As per the current rules, breaking an arrow is as difficult as breaking a sword, and can only be done by smiths or special abilities. A three count does not break an arrow.

Pinning is allowed.
Pulling a person's weapon from their hands, whether with your weapon or your hands, is not allowed. You could hurt that person doing it. Pinning the weapon simply to prevent it from swinging is allowed.

Machine gunning doesn't count.
A valid strike requires that your arm comes back to 90 degrees from strike position, and that you're at least attempting to attack different locations rather than give a shiatsu massage. If someone is machine gunning you, you only need to count the first valid swing. Afterward, if you quietly mention to a marshal to give them some guidance, that would be super.

Combat can happen in tents.
Being in a tent does not guarantee safety. Of course, if you think your gear is in danger, you can always hold and request that you and the attacker finish the encounter out on the grass.

NPCs! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PCs ARROWS, or any weapons for that matter. For any reason. If you see arrows or weapons on the ground, throw them to the sidelines. Not behind enemy lines.

Thanks.

That said, if they do end up behind enemy lines by happenstance, that is totally fine and you are free to leave them there as long as the reps are not in danger.

PS. This PSA does not count for thieves. They are shady bastards and anything goes for them.

Please dont be a dick with the arrows.
Some of us have a small number of them, and once we run out- we can't help out as much.

The arrow thing is a strange situation. You can easily have twenty arrow tags but it woukdbe unreasonable to expect someone to carry that many reps however as an arrow is a weapon it must be tagged. Why would a player race npc allow you to come collect your tools of murder if they don't have to. By making it necessary for npcs to allow you easy access to your arrows abd since they cannot be broken. You effectively have an infinite supply. Maybe its just my IG rp talking but it is bad form to knowingly and obviously treat an npc human merc differently then a pc merc and for the npc to treat you differently then you treat pcs. Its a fine line i guess
