A few reminders and notices about things that have been asked a lot frequently. Thanks for reading!
Arrows don't break.
As per the current rules, breaking an arrow is as difficult as breaking a sword, and can only be done by smiths or special abilities. A three count does not break an arrow.
Pinning is allowed.
Pulling a person's weapon from their hands, whether with your weapon or your hands, is not allowed. You could hurt that person doing it. Pinning the weapon simply to prevent it from swinging is allowed.
Machine gunning doesn't count.
A valid strike requires that your arm comes back to 90 degrees from strike position, and that you're at least attempting to attack different locations rather than give a shiatsu massage. If someone is machine gunning you, you only need to count the first valid swing. Afterward, if you quietly mention to a marshal to give them some guidance, that would be super.
Combat can happen in tents.
Being in a tent does not guarantee safety. Of course, if you think your gear is in danger, you can always hold and request that you and the attacker finish the encounter out on the grass.
