Monarch of the Moon (Sept 19th, 6:50pm)
#71
"I spoke more in favour of respecting the guardian of the night, but the night itself is worthy of respect as well. Like so many things, there are two sides to it. The dark can hide us from harm, or harm can hide within it. The moon empowers the therians, for better or worse. And with secrets, they can be held to protect or traded and revealed to cause harm. Dietremen is dark, not evil, and so are his domains. He is a part of the natural world, and of our society. We should respect the power all these things hold, because it can benefit us, or our enemies, as we would respect the sea or storms."

Juniper nods as she listens, occasionally glancing at Riven before she speaks up. "How would you recommend  we show our respect to the night and to your god? Especially if we don't follow ourselves?"

"Honestly? The fact that you all sat through this is more than most would have given. Whether it's out of respect for me or for Dietremen, you all asked listened, and some of you asked questions, and I appreciate both deeply. You all took the time to try and understand why my god would be important to someone. If you take the time to remember the part that Dietremen plays in your life, even if you don't wish to pray or worship or sacrifice, it is enough."

He smiles and sighs. "If no one else has any questions, we could move on to any of you that would like to share why you felt called to your own gods. I've talked for quite a while now, and you've all been so patient with me."
