Many players are blocking using stilettos and whether this is allowed seems to be an argument nearly every month.
No, you may not block attacks using a stiletto.
1. It abuses the rule system. Hands are not a valid striking target. When you block with a stiletto, you force the other player to risk striking them, and enjoy the benefit that even if the blocking fails, hitting the hands negates the damage.
2. It's dangerous. The majority of head shot complaints I receive seem to be related to upward swings with hands while attempting to block with an unreasonably small weapon.
3. It's silly. Stilettos are meant to be a cloak and dagger weapon choice, not a brawler or warrior selection. Imagine trying to stop a sword with a knitting needle.
