Sitting near the Gate (( Feb/05 5 PM ))

Grimnir can be seen with his full armour and weapon sitting under a tree near the Skein gate, staring at it while eating a piece of dried meat.

[Kare Rosner]

-Kare comes from the Tavern area- "Hail Grimnir...did you get this thing working again?"

[Sigurd Vask]

"Gwen will be speaking with Magus Ilphas. I believe it likely still functions. I lack the tools to test that, as such, I am watching it to ensure no more people are injured foolishly." Grimnir takes another bite and looks exceptionally bored, "I should be prepping for the coming war, but I have to handle this else we may lose an escape for our peasantry. I will not allow them to be in unneeded danger."

[Kare Rosner]

"Hopefully Gwen brings the lad here...hopefully she can fix me hand...still dead unfortunetly...if she can magic it back to life that would be great" -Kare hides his dead hand in his sleeve- "Ye be a good leader Grimnir, and havin' the portal as back-up be a wise idea....but this thing is still on the frits...even now I can still feel that electric charge from the blasted thing...I just hope it aint broke for good"

"Magic is unpredictable as it is powerful." Grimnir shrugs, "I will guard it and ensure it is safely monitored until such a time as the Magus approves its use once more. Your hand will be easily fixed, just a lava burn, she can repair that without much hassle." The Jarl looks at the gate, "I feel nothing from it, nor has it reacted."

Looking more closely at the ground one will notice that, the snow along the line where the mounded snow had been, a rough path approximately ten feet wide, has melted significantly more than the settled snow everywhere else. The air around Ralinwood remains slightly charged following the event.

-Kare goes to the line again and steps over the line that he recognized that teleported him away- "I dont know Grimnir...I feel a slight tingle since that day.."

Grimnir smiled knowingly, "Have you heard of hiding things? I worry about this. I can feel the charge. But I keep that hidden. If I break then who will lead those sworn to me. Leadership means accepting my life is only worth the inspiration I can give to others." He chuckles. "Keep from the melted line until we have more information."
