Let the Games Begin TS 6-19 3:30pm
#1
The Lady and lords have moved into the pavilions. We would like to organize some games to entertain them in a months time. If you have game ideas please reach out to me. I will share these with the nobles to ensure the game is found to be interesting.

The first game to be introduced has reached from Mjoll to Bakura and now as far south as Duvain. We will play a tame version of the sport for the Lady and Lords. If they are entertained there will be rewards. Perhaps now that you have sworn fealty you just want to impress. Regardless of reason fun will be had by all.

Introducing the League...

Teams have 4 players...

Runner - can only touch the ball (or skull depending on town) They may use no weapons. They are the runner! The object is to get the ball from the middle of the field into the goal at the end *Requires red armband*

Enforcers - two enforcers play per team. One person must use a two handed weapon. The other enforcer can either use two one handed weapons or a shield and weapon

Goal Keeper - Can be a wizard or archer. Whatever you choose they are the only person on the team who can use these items.

Starter rules if the runner is hit once they take no damage and drop to a knee for 10 seconds. The runners will wrestle for the ball. If a goal keeper or enforcer is hit they take a knee for 10 seconds and the person who hit them can hold a weapon on their shoulder or back to keep them down.

The goal keeper will channel spellless (0) magic. Anyone who it hit with channeled magic will take a knee for 10 seconds. I keeper can channel and touch the shoulder to keep one person down.

You need one referee on the court and one referee off the court. The one off the court counts out loud showing when they hit 10 20 30 etc. There are 3 rounds of 90 seconds. Best 2 out of three wins.

This game is currently being played competitively in many towns.

Please note games including spiders or spider caves are frowned upon.

Game number 2

Wizard , Troll, Pipe
This is a game for any who channel magic. Depending on how many people are interested it can be one big game or turned into smaller teams with several games played.
To start we divide the participants into two teams. Each team moves to opposite sides of the play area. As a team they decide if they are a wizard, troll or pipe. Once decided both teams run to the middle of the field where they face each other. Someone off field will count to 3 at which point both teams yell out what they choose. If the team chooses wizard they will extend fingers of the left hand and yell Wizard like they are casting a spell. If they choose Troll they must shout Troll and make the left hand into a fist. If the choose Pipe they yell Pipe and hold the fingers of the left hand to the mouth like they are smoking a pipe.

This leaves the right hand free to channel. The winning side now chases the losing side across the field channeling at them. Anyone hit with channeled magic is removed from the game. The losing team is safe once they reach the end of the field on their side. Once participants who were hit are removed from the game both teams return to the ends of the field and choose again. These steps are repeated until one team is eliminated.

For those of you who don't know.

Wizard beats Troll - because Fire
Troll beats Pipe - because smash
Pipe beats Wizard - because herbs

At Trap's request we are adding common games for the common folk. There are no special rules. Some suggestions are...

Running race.

Single combat with weapon strikes.

I have left space for people to sign up to show interest. Games will only be held if there is enough interest to sign up. Event's like this take a great deal of work. If no one signs up for anything it looks like there is no interest and they may be cancelled. If there are other activities people would like to compete in please find me so I may at it to the list.

Games additions Week 4
Brought to you by Claudia Vandemere....

Dodge Rock
6 rocks lined up in the middle with two teams on either side. When game is started the two teams run for the rocks and start throwing them at each other.

There is several ways for a player to be removed from game.

1. being hit by a rock
2. having your rock caught by the other team's player. This will allow the team that caught the rock to select one team mate that was removed to come back in the game.
3. going over the middle line.

Each team has 6 players. 1 referee is required. Try and avoid face shots. No one likes a black eye in the mornin'.

I am a great fan of the League and am happy to support your initiative in organizing this game. I will have a reward for the winning team. I do not, however, have any desire to watch Dodge Rock. It may be acceptable peasant entertainment but it is beneath the station of myself and Lords Bantry and Vintner. I would like to see it pulled from the tourney.

Attention everyone.

Dodge Rock has official been removed from the events we will be engaging in for the Lady and the Lords.
In it's place I bring you Catch the Wyrm...

This is played in groups of 4 to 8 where players make humanoid chains. They need to stay connected to each other the whole time either holding the waist of the person in front of them or the fabric etc. When the team is connected it is now considered a wyrm. The leading person will be the head and the trailing person at the back will be the tail. The person playing the tail will have flag, fabric, towel etc. The head of the other teams are trying to catch the wyrms tail.

The people who form the wyrm cannot let go and get separated. The goal of the game is to have the head of each wyrm (front of the chain) to grab the item on the tail of the other wyrm while staying linked. If any part of the teams wyrm gets separated, the detached tail end cannot move. You cannot go after another team until you have reconnected you body together.

When a team loses the tail flag they are out of the game. This game could be played with many teams at the same time.
