As some of you may have heard, those who miscant have been left breathless lately. It seems to be true of everyone in the Ralinwood area, regardless of one's level of learning or primary field of studies. Mages and templars alike have suffered identical bouts of breathlessness.
The spell Tenacity does seem to slow the effects of whatever this is, allowing you to incant the second time. There is, however, a puff of blue mana that occurs as you miscant and trigger the spell.
I advise everyone to be very cautious going forward. We have no way of knowing yet if the breathlessness will worsen, or if there is some strange force siphoning mana from bungled attempts at spellcasting. As unlikely as it may seem, there have been a great many strange rituals and beasts of late and I would hate to bolster something that could cause us harm.
Should I discover anything significant, I will update you all.
