An Invitation to the Einher and Savage of Ralinwood

As a few of you may know, I have been planning a melee for the savage festivities and midsummer next month and would finally like to make an official announcement and invitation to all.

The melee will be held near the start of the savage festivities on the 14th of next month following a small sacrifice,  open to all warriors of the savage community of any skill and experience to join in for a fight to the last combatant standing, with a prize awarded to the winner.

A second melee will also be held so that warriors not of blade or spear my also test their luck and skill against each other before the gods, contestants may join both of these contests assuming they follow the limitations set forth in both. These limitations will be posted at a later date.

Contestants are asked to donate 3 to 5 silvers to help pay for healers and doctors, as well as create a small prize pool for the winner of the open melee if enough people choose to partake. You will not need to pay the coin twice to take part in both melees, the coin gets you into both, but you must contribute to join either.

In addition to this, there will be many other contests and games open to all from knife fighting to games of wit and luck, and you are free to bring your own to the festivities. Should any of you have questions or wish to partake, you are free to seek me out or leave a note down below and I will have someone read it off to me. Brondulf, This is a good initiative but please speak to Bicar as he is planning the thing and it sounds like this may overlap with plans he may already have. The Einher in town the previous weekend spoke on event's that we thought would be good for the town. If we have a lot of participants, instead of draining the healers there is a ritual that could be cast that we used last year. A dueling ring or circle. We could instead use the money from the participants to pay for that. Anyone dueling within the circle is fully healed when one person is defeated.
Alternatively, with club fights they generally just go to 10 strikes instead of causing harm to one another.

Thank you Vlad, I will be sure to seek out Bicar when I can. Your concern over the draining of healers does not fall on deaf ears, but my intention is to ensure the melee is in the spirit of our people, and that strength is found and won in true combat. However, I will do what I can to ensure that as few resources are used in the contest as possible so that our doctors and healers may swiftly turn to face whatever they must after the melee.

Something to reflect the spirit of your people, huh? I can't wait to see what the man who bragged about leaving my family to die on a battlefield has to show for Einish spirit. Your kilt should be brown for the number of times you've dragged your clan's name through the mud.

Ursel, your insults wound my pride, and I know not of which bragging you speak of. While my past jests may have been in poor taste I hold no disrespect to you, your family, or the wild elves, and have no intention of letting this feud you seem to have with me fester any further here, we do share those colors to claim me to "drag through the mud" after all. That being said, there happens to be a melee next moon if you would like to let bygones be bygones and turn a new leaf, either in the ring with steel or out of it with words and wisdom. I leave that up to you.
