Event Review - Assault on the Ridge

[Prawl]

((Out of game I am going though a lot of things in my life so I was not 100 percent myself, and if you noticed I was crying alot this game. Not all of it was because I was playing Prawl.
The death date and the burial date for my grandmother ran though this weekend and it is always very hard for me to deal with. Plus I have other things in my life that are making me cry at the drop of a hat.))

Pros

-Having my hate race of Orcs (I was able to do damage! and I finally fingered out how to right with a staff!!)
-Having the Cassin Orcs Come To Prawl and tell her they where very nice, and would not mean her any harm.
-Charming an Orc to learn and follow Doranth
-The Stinky kitty (Skunk) Is one of Prawl's favorite animals. So seeing one in-game was awesome.
- THe 'fuck you' Badges I love these things so much!!! omg you have no idea.
- Getting to Play Prawl with Azura at her side, (Our first game playing together)
- Watching the Scary pirate and remembering that I am scared of Brad for the whole weekend.
-Being scared to death of Magnar and running back to Azura for my hug (Best part of the night)
- Doing the whole weekend with a low lvl healer and Nature Casters!!!
and HARU to safe the day!!!!! ((Hospital needs to see how much this man did to aid us this weekned))
- I loved the fire pit being so close to the tavern, and that it was used. I missed this
-Blink was sweet!! did not like the Nature ward though but I understand why you did it.

-THE DRAGON WARD!!!!! OMG YES!!!!!!

-Making Grollog shinny-- yes I know 0 magic doen't work like that, but he was so happy which made me get out of my shitty attitude. I needed it more then he did. So I made him shinny every time I saw him.


Cons:
The lack of healers, But this is no ones fault we all have lives.

Assuming I am not a special snowflake, or that my mother wasn't a lying slut  .

I'm an new player liaison so i'm not sure if you are kidding or actually haven't read the section of the rulebook concerning breeding. long story short their are no half breeds in this world, you can only breed with races that are within your race classification i.e. human, goblinoid, elf. the breeding between different races in the same bracket can produce offspring but the race is always that of the mother. so your mother was an orc and there is no two ways about that as far as the rules are concerned and how lore is concerned. your father however could be an orc, a goblin, ogre or for some reason a kobold.

I have read the rule book, and I totally thank you for the concern in this, but I would prefer to keep any discussion of my characters back story in private, in the interest of preventing any metagaming. I posted the quotation because I thought it was funny, this post isn't the proper place to discuss this. I would be more then welcome to do so over private message.

Thank you all for another wonderful time and for really giving me a new view on things with my new PC.

+ Being able to spread the word of the Light Bringer and seeing the reactions from it
+ Helping many people as one of the only Healers this event was awesome and chaotic, but this brother be strong
+ Gaining a follower of the Light Bringer, Sister Dandelion
+ Talking with and being joined in prayer to our respective higher powers by...I believe Smaller of the Cassan Orcs? (Sorry if that is the wrong name.)

I did not have any real downsides to this event as it was a new stance on PC style but I do regret not being able to save more people during that last mod, I'm afraid I forget the names of the two in question I was determined to reach and save somehow but I do hope you managed to come back somehow.

I'm glad the low level mod was well received, with less of a level disparity I wasn't sure how much of a difference it'd make. The team will happily plan more, since the players enjoyed the first one!

Now, on with the reviews!!

[Calidonia]

This was my first heavy RP event, given that Calidonia is not known for her interest in politics, mercantilism or current events beyond battle. But while Nia had what was definitely the worst 3 days of her life, I finally felt like I was getting the chance to fall into character. I know there'll be more chances to explore the RP side, and I look forward to further experiencing Nia and my new character's personalities.

Playing as my character Brodin

I would have to say I had a lot of fun at this event. The cold weather doesnt really bug me a whole bunch, as long as I keep moving, and my super warm cloak helped lol.

Pros:

As my PC I love bugging the other players and seeing their reactions, thats just who Brodin is, and the PC's always have such amazing reactions to his less then polite manner.
NPCing is always so much fun, Im happy I didnt hit anybody in the crotch as the goblin archer...or the face....
Im happy you guys liked the chocolates that were sold, I will have more next event for you all.

Cons:

being in the cold for 2 hours Saturday night for a mod wasnt super bad but I was chilled to the bone, even with all the stuff I was wearing. not complaining, just saying that if the mod isnt ready, and its super cold, dont send the NPCs out yet.
