To those of faith or conviction in our fair town, I address this message.
As some of you know, I have expressed interested in forming an official truce between the various faiths and followings in Ralinwood. Given that almost all of us are protected under law, with only a few entities and spheres of magic being truly outlawed, this is more of a gesture of good will to assure one another that we can work as one united people rather than fearing sabotage or betrayal from those around us.
I have already spoken with Demetria, Paragon of Dunarthos and head of the United Light Church, as well as the independent Church of Vesmir. I do so as a representative of the Dark in Ralinwood, as most wish to worship quietly and remain anonymous.
I look now to the new Savage communities to ask if you have any organized churches or representatives of your faith I may speak to, so that new alliances can be forged and what is desired from such an agreement can be learned. To the remaining Dragon followers I ask if there is any chance we might find a way to coexist, but I know there may never be a way for those who resent the gods and their faithful to take part in such a venture.
So far, all of those I have spoken to have agreed that we wish for our town to be a place where we band together not only in time of dire threat, but also in peace, so our resources may be shared and our strengths used in harmony to allow our town to thrive. I am a believer in true faith, not in religious obligation, and would far prefer that those within our borders could follow whatever path feels right for them rather than fearing they must fall in line with the majority.
We get far too caught up in suspicion and assumption, believing the worst of one another due to religious affiliation when we have proven time and time again we are willing to fight side by side to protect our home. All of this may sound suspect when said by an open follower of Dietremen, but the wise among my kin understand that we cannot thrive in the ruins of a civilization. There is a time for guile, and then there is a time to be frank with what is needed to see those I care for and those I need living the lives they deserve. It just so happens that such people can be found scattered throughout every church and faction this town has to offer.
Seek me out if you are interested in having a voice in such matters, and wish to make your needs and desires in the making of such an agreement known. I can most often be found in the tavern or town center, or else in the blue-doored cabin my camp currently resides in.
Dutifully yours,
Sindrian "Carrion" Indridason
