The Truce Hurts - Event Review
#5
The Good
- I feel like this event was the answer to most of the recent critiques I've had. Plot felt like we had an impact which was refreshing after the unfortunate necessity of supporting a vast, preplanned storyline, and the bard during the final mod let lots of people get involved.
- The NPCs did a phenomenal job. Even if I wanted to throw a few of them in a dumpster. Or perhaps because of it. I'm looking at you, firbolg.
- There were a really nice variety of merchants. I didn't really take advantage of it but it was really convenient to have so many scroll and alchemy people walking around when sometimes it feels like you always miss the one merchant that has what you want.

The Less Good
- As has been mentioned, a little more salt on the slushy/icy part outside would have made it more ideal. I almost ate shit a few times just sparring with Alex before game, which made the final mod terrifying in an unintentional way.

Personal Highlights
- My conversation with the Citadel book lad whose name I never learned. I'm sad it was cut short. It was gunna be a good interview.
- People watching. It's just nice to see everyone hanging out in character.
- Seeing the various spars, particularly the PC vs PC ones.
- Sir Wren's fricking eye emoji face at me during the final mod.
- All interactions with Serene, with special mention to our aggressive/borderline violent werewolf petting and her face when I hit the ground.
- Dan's Orc's reaction to my aforementioned hitting the ground.
- Chatting with Gigoliath. We don't get much chance to interact and I lov him.
- The various sympathetic screams of NPC camp.
IG: A human man in a crow skull mask, grey stole, and black clerical vestments. Occasionally carries an iron or silver dagger, but more often seen without any visible weapons or amour to speak of.

OOG: Danny Heintz, he/him. Transmasc in progress, please disregard mine bræsts.
