The Good
- The plot team did a great job in laying the groundwork for this event both in the written hook's choice of wording and what's been hinted at in the chats by the NPCs that wander though.
- The NPC's did a fantastic job! Special shout out goes to Dan for suffering through that nightmarish interrogation, Jada's creepy spider, and my sister for being obnoxious as that orc runner. It's a compliment, really. The costumes for all of the above and more were also excellent.
- Honestly, the use of wytchcraft was really great for me. I think we all know how gross the normal spells are when they have your blood, and I gotta assume the rituals are way worse. I was kinda worried people would just have their heads exploded from a distance, but instead we had some great curse effects that led to fun RP.
- Normally I don't put PC stuff here cause review but everyone especially good with the RP this game? It was just a great time interacting with folks.
The Less Good
- I know people have mentioned it but it was the only con I could think of too. I honestly couldn't tell if that spider fae fueled wytch search was supposed to be fruitless or not. Her insistance that we do something made it feel like we should find someone, but many of us combed a massive chunk of the site with no luck. Left me pretty exhausted, though that was also partially from me tuckering myself out by skittering around (and accidentally bodyslamming the driveway, twice) in full armour.
Personal Highlights
- Literally everything surrounding the orc's interrogation, from bad puns to the rather heated RP between those involved and the PC orcs when we had to resort to charm magic.
- Orokgrim coming back! I was so worried it would be a while before we saw him again. Also our rest on the ground in town center that drew concerned passers by to check on us.
- Being cursed, and how I was then treated while Sleep'd by my allies. The fact that Carrion will never know what was said about him during those moments pains me.
- Watching Blank disable a wytch's magic, bellow at her to crawl back into her hole and die, and then spend the rest of the fight screeching. Hell is that noise.
- Sevatar slapping a bunch of prots on himself and going whatever Super Saiyan Dragon Mode that was before wandering into a small mob of enemies I had been told could flatten most of us into red paste.
