So really the weekend turned into more of a day mod for me - I showed up Saturday afternoon, NPCed, then went to bed right after for reasons.
Pros:
+ The time-sensitive mod was pretty cool. Even if it seems like an unwinnable situation (or a situation that could be won under extremely specific decisions), I enjoyed the sense of urgency and the "need" to do it - that my reaction time can be critical and will affect tomorrow's events.
+ NPCing was extremely enjoyable. I enjoyed most of the roles I got, and the freedom to deviate or improvise to what was most enjoyable or entertaining. I like how quickly everything is organized and the balance between "this needs to happen" and "go with what works", and how the ratio of NPC to PC entertainment for the little RP roles was, and that I wasn't constantly "GO GO GO" to do things.
+ The depiction of lightning strikes was really cool.
Mids:
o Cabins take getting used to. Despite prepaying, there was a brief moment where I genuinely thought I wouldn't get a cabin bunk. A lot of this is IG and how I personally play Viv, which is more of a "me" than "game" problem. I fully appreciate the cabins and they are a HUGE convenience, I just wonder if I'm alone in fearing for my life there.
o If I make you uncomfortable, please tell me (privately). Elaine is not a physically-affectionate person, but NPCing I can be.
Cons:
- What is Ralinwood's safety light policy? Page 18 of the rulebook:
"Safety Lights: Must be diffused red, these are primarily hand-held flashlights. These lights are considered to be OOG when used. ... These policies apply to Jericho. Please check your local guild's policies for more details."
I couldn't find Ralinwood's, so I defaulted to Jericho's and Ashendael's policies. If Ralinwood doesn't use safety lights, I'm very sorry about this, and won't use mine the next time I'm in Ralinwood.
- Behaving like soldiers (NPCs). Marching back in formation would've looked a lot more impressive than straggling back.
- Please ask extremely personal, OOG questions privately. Not in front of a group of people I barely know.
Personal moments:
* Interacting with other Jericho PCs! Not that I dislike anyone in Ralinwood (from an OOG standpoint anyway - pfft, believing in IMAGINARY animals and relying on the MAGIC "THEY" gave you (but at least necromancy's illegal...right?)) but I like that connection between the guilds. Catching up on news between Jericho and Ralinwood makes UW feel like a greater game instead of individual worlds.
* Seeing all my double-sided tabards go into use. THAT RAIN, EH?
* Draping my pirate NPC all over Miahla.
* Shane/Wizwik, I would've gotten my Gnome game together better if I hadn't slept so badly the last two nights. >< Always fun to talk Gnome stuff though!
* Making Ursel choke at the tavern. We're not good people.
* Poop in the eye.
Overall, I did enjoy what little I played; what I didn't enjoy was entirely OOG and not something under administration's control. I am unsure about my next attendance because of OOG matters, but I would like to try a full event in the future.

Gnome Tinkerer, gold freckles and black, magenta and blue hair. Wears a tan cap, olive shirt and various devices. Probably sneezing.
