I'll admit, weather aside it wasnt a terrible weekend. Not a fav but wouldnt quit if this was my first.
I kept forgetting the world we live in and after some real thinking, this was realistic to the world. Things were stated for a full town to deal with but it just goes to show not everything is fair or easy. I guess I got so mad was because it felt unfair to nail us with such things on Friday night because we felt so under prepared and under gunned to fight. Getting hit with so much so fast so suddenly felt very jarring and almost cartoonishly unorganized. The Elementals were almost expected, it rained so they came out. We dealt with them and the world moved on, then DEMONS out of the blue. Put the 'holy fuck' into everyone that's for sure, the Land-sharks felt out of place for what was going on. Saturday with hellhounds and demons on and off kept some combat up, but I truly did enjoy the downtime and role play moments with characters and made me feel like I was actually in character rather then in dress up and fighting.
I'm a stickler for detail when it comes to NPC's and I talked to others out of game so any people I mentioned before to others dont be harsh on them, were adults so be mature about it please. Ok so for what I would like to see differently is when there are animals being played, dont have them fight like PC's. MANY times I had animals and elementals fight like PC's and that bothers the immersion right out of me because I'm on longer fighting a being made of pure fire, im fighting some smuck in a mask trying to very un-characteristically, tactically kill me. Also for the love of whatever you believe in, know how to gauge when your pressing in on someone to much. I had many times I nearly tripped over my own feet because people were so close to me because they wanted to hit me a foot away from me. Those are my gripes and hopefully we can get the challange we want without NPC's going overboard.
all in all a 5/10 weekend
