Regarding our next workshop day in March! ( https://www.facebook.com/events/15502946...story=null )
And now for something a little different...
"Underworld Ralinwood cordially invites you to our second workshop day of 2016, to be held on Saturday, March 19th, at our usual location at Peacekeeper Park. We invite you to participate in our new tradition of Spring Cleaning, and encourage you to bring your used costume bits, props, fabrics, materials, and other goodies to the Mess Hall to sell or trade. While we strongly encourage trade over sale, we want to let you know that selling is still acceptable, and at this particular event there will be no vendor fee. Think of this as a LARP yard sale, or a swap meet. Bring the things that you wouldn't mind passing on in favour of finding some grand new treasure.
We strongly encourage everyone to snap some quick photos of things they intend to bring and share them on the event page to help everyone get into the spirit, and get eager to do some trading. Nothing gets the creative spirit going the same way that new goodies does, and you never know; something of yours might be inspiring enough to get other people to bring out their treasures too.
We will be laying out tables in the Mess Hall where you can put out your goods, and if the weather is agreeable we may also use the patio area just outside under the awning. Please note available tables are limited, and so we will be allowing people one each, or half a table if you are only bringing a few items.
We will also be setting aside a small area for alterations, and help with alterations, where people who have acquired new things can come to do changes to their pieces to help suit their character and make it their own. Painting, leatherworking, maille repairs, etc. Please bring your own tools!
***
There will, of course, still be other programming available throughout the day in the cabins, including workshops, lunch, and possibly more. Please stand by for a timetable of planned events.
In the meantime, we'd love to see what you intend to bring, and maybe hear a little about what you might be looking for. Who knows what someone may have sitting at home that they think no one would ever want? Time to find out.”
(Any questions about what may or may not be acceptable to bring can be forwarded to Brittany Tara Ward to clarify.)
