Yes, Donovan is right.

Spells that stay on your for a duration cannot stack (Unless otherwise specified). This means that you can only have one of those spells on your character at a time.

You may memorize as many spells in that spell slot as you have purchased.

Donovan is correct that was the sentence i was referring to. thank you for the clarification.  perhaps my character will pursue magic instead of alchemy. Smile
