pros:
the people at the tables were so nice! although the line was long, they kept their cool and calmly directed all attention to me. they helped me out and really bent backwards to make me happy and answer all my questions.
plot wise everything was really organised and thought through. i understood that they usually are even more organised so im really impressed. they made me get emotionally attached to my character first game and made my experience feel very personal.
although i was not in combat at all,my character was still noticed and was given an opportunity to receive special little things. this was the one thing i was worried about when playing her and im glad just cause i chose not to make my character fight, doesn't mean i dont get cool stuff.
cons:
unfortunatley i'm new to being a mage and i only discovered after game that i was supposed to have received scrolls at log..which sorta kinda aint so good.
another issue was another new player (a friend of thomas and I's) had a sadly not so awesome time.
first mistake was assuming that it was like jericho and the new players dont need reps for armor first game. so he became an armorless fighter which, as we all know, only causes many deaths which are pretty discouraging.
he also bought the really expensive new player package. successfully making him pay $85. i was excited for him cause the stuff in there can be really helpful and cool!
it was so rushed that he was given options of different package types to receive and no explanation that the types mean. labels like 'fool' dont exactly explain what you would receive. so he got all these things that he couldnt use and the things he could use were super handy HOWEVER no one explained to him what they are, how to use them, or that theyd expire after this game. so in the long run my friend spent the majority of the game walking around not quite sure what to do, $85 poorer, and dying allot.
