As you apply pressure to the tailblade, more viscous gel seems to expel from tiny pores along its surface, and form a small ball as it's collected together. The metal blade begins to hiss and disintegrate, and by the time the globule is at the tip of the tail, it is the size of a marble and doesn't quite fit easily into the bottle. The tool used to collect the sample is quite ruined.
