"A fair question. Rolin is one of the very few citizens who has taken enough interest in the land's safety to come and speak with me about it. I considered enlisting your man Brennus as well, of course, Lady Urquart quite persuaded me that you would want a man you could trust who could escort you, and I knew I would have to ask you to come along with me.
Rolin is not a General of War. He is an Acting General. That means he will help me to collect the information I need to make strategic decisions for so long as I don't have any men of true military rank. Once I have educated professionals at hand, I expect that we shall all defer to their expertise, myself and the Lady included. "
