The Mortigeist Comes

Citizens of Ralinwood,

We have seen the Shattered Elves, fought them, and have pushed them back. But I fear they will now come as heralds for the arrival of the Mortigeist.

I have encountered and fought this abomination many times, and now is time for you to show your dedication to one another. It cares not for which God or Dragon you follow, how pure or corrupt your heart is - it seeks only to kill. Protect one another, protect the Elves - even those who mean nothing to you - for I have seen and walked his domain and it is a fate deserved by few.

You cannot best the Mortigeist. But in his rage you can outwit him. Those elves closest to nature and who may run swiftly and freely in the woods, find your sanctuary and stay vigilant. Those elves unaccustomed to such, walk softly, sleep in shifts with your armour donned. He can shatter circles of protection, but only so many times, thus wisely planned fortification can prevail. The Shattered Elves serve as his scouts, and they must be avoided for they travel in packs. They are overly fond of paralyzing their prey.

Unite in protection of friend and neighbour and prove that Ralinwood can be a land of quality.

I am wont to continue my pilgrimage, but I will linger a bit longer, and send word of the arrival of the Mortigeist should I encounter him.
