Leading up to event, here are some important things you'll want to know.
1. August is a HOT event. Plan to drink lots of fluids, make sure you and your buddies watch each other for signs of dehydration and take some time to sit down in the shade when you feel exerted.
2. The tavern will run behind rather than in the mess hall, in the shaded area that we also use for logistics on Friday night. Being outside and not a memorial space, combat might enter that area. NPCs will, however, try to be respectful of your food and leave it alone.
3. My larper baby is almost cooked! Matt Flynn will be sharing the role of Head of Plot with me this game and taking over from me for the autumn. If there's anything you'd normally come to me for and he's closer at hand, feel free to grab him.
4. As a reminder: camp fires need to be approved and observe certain safety measures. If you have or want to have a camp fire, please check the policies thread (linked below) to make sure you're covering your safety basics and then make sure that Ben or another owner has checked it.
