Greetings to the Einher and citizens of Ralinwood
As some of you are aware, the title of Jarl was claimed by myself only a few days ago. I invoked my right to challenge Tove's housecarl Iver in her absence, and bested him in honorable combat as is the way of our people. The Einher have been lacking a present leader for too many months, and I would not have us wait another without one, even with the Moot so close.
If any Einher wish to meet with me, I will be present in town at the market day early next month, but if you need to speak with me sooner I will make myself available. The same goes for anyone else who has business with the Einher, official or otherwise. I have also been told by my kinsmen to elect a housecarl as quickly as possible, and so I will be making a decision before the end of next month, if not sooner.
Finally, some have asked how this will effect the Einish Moot in a few months... the answer is not in ANY way. The Moot is still a sacred event for our people, and besides the change of me taking over the planning as Jarl you can expect very little else. Games will be played, feasting will be had, and any Einher will still be able to challenge for the title I currently have. I have plans to open the event up to the rest of the Savage community and Ralinwood as a whole as part of my goals to strengthen the bonds between Ralinwwod, the Savage, and the Einish communities. If anyone wishes to bring something to the Moot, please come and speak to me.
