Sounds like a good excuse for a merchant day.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Merchant day is always 100% ok with me!
Pros: Everything! So much running and so many awesome costumes! Had a lot of fun first night especially within seconds of game starting someone running into the entire NPC group of mist maurauders before realizing what he was looking at.
-MASSIVE SHADOW COSTUME
Cons: Screaming as a mist marauder to the point that I could barely speak the next 3 days.
-Sleeping all of saturday from complete exhaustion
Everything was awesome! Also apologizing again for hitting Van in the eye with a spell packet and the many many nut shots I delivered to Sven. Very sorry for that!

I keep meaning to write my review and keep getting distracted so here we go. I'm doing it. Here it comes.
This was my first event, so I was very distracted trying to get a handle on my character and the rules, so it's might not be quiet as useful a review as a long time player's. But here's how it went from a the a total newbie's point of view.
Pros
- Finally getting to meet everyone! Alex has been telling me stories since she started Underworld, so it was nice to finally match names to faces. At times I was mildly star struck.
- Everyone was welcoming and encouraging both before and after the game. As someone who's kinda constantly deeply anxious, this helped a lot.
- It was just as survivable as the people organizing it claimed. Despite knowing I had unlimited deaths as a new player, I tried to exercise the caution Carrion would be acting with, and didn't die once. A small I wasn't armed with a dagger and fumbling my attempts to cast, that says a lot about how far the "run" and "hide" portions of the motto can get you.
- As everyone else has said before me, the costuming on the side of both the players and NPCs was amazing. I will miss all my greater demon pals.
- The quality of roleplay was so high that I found myself wanting to play races I'd previously had no interest in, just because the existing characters were so good. Special mention goes to the Aja. While reading the rulebook I was a little worried that the race would attract characters that were romantasized fantasy Romani, the ones I saw were excellent and sincere and a joy to be around. Even if my life was being threatened in the process.
- Everyone came together really well for all the mods. Really impressive teamwork considering how new some of the challenges were.
Highlights/Funnies
- People assuring me I wouldn't be mistaken for an NPC and attacked, only to have someone try to identify me as undead moments after Lay On.
- "I have no memory of last night." "I think you may have been Dominated." "How could you tell?" "I was hiding beneath a bunk when you came into the cabin and said 'I sure do love being Dominated'."
- Literally everything Orokgrim did, from the demon orgy shenanigans to his great conversation and resulting spar with the observing demon.
- The sheer delight I felt over Lilith suggesting I could work for her, and Riven's musing she might let me apprentice under her, only to immediately watch her be locked away in hell.
- The roaming pack of zombies (I think?) growling so loudly they drowned out my reply to their sense life call. Seconds later I heard one murmur "maybe we should be a little quieter".
- Milosh using a pancake to try and bribe Carrion into not dealing with demons anymore.
- Little Rock throwing people around, including one person into another, after the murder of her hellpuppy. Also her attempts to prevent said murder, which I watched at a distance.
- "Do you know how many rituals you could do with 100 gold!?"
- "Hold portal."
- The toast to our victory that began with cheering and ended with dismayed screeching when the final toast was roughly "To our angel friend. Now he's just a guy. Gotta get a job like the rest of us."
- There were many more but this is getting long.
Cons
- Really just a personal one. I was quickly left alone when people scattered at the start of the event, and had no idea how to navigate the camp. While very accurate to Carrion's predicament, it was a little terrifying as a new player. This isn't really an issue with the event itself though, more poor planning on my part.
Yeeep I think that'll do it. Thank you everyone for a great first game.

Hoooooooly this event was amazing. It had such a unique feel that I've never experienced at another event.
So let's start:
- hiding a few feet off the path while 6-8 mist marauders scream by
- sneaky sneaky with Magnar
- locking myself in an ice block just to watch my friends die and have vampires stare me in the face. It was too eerie.
- pumpkin hunting! I didn't get to find other than one, but it was so exciting.
- the flaming deer Sunday morning. RIP KEVIN ;_;
- feeling important by being the medium between the hook for a mod and the rest of town. Thanks Brian!
- so much fire... Ughhhhhh but I love getting saved by my friends
- "let me carry the fire heart" "no" "I have self mut, it will be funny"
- so many amazing reps for this game. The costuming on the stilt monster eating people was fantastic, the seven deadly sins demons, even down to the glowing eyes in the woods. Bravo guys, the effort really showed and had an amazing effect on me
- being so mentally taxed after the Balrog fight. It wasn't negative in any way; the mod was just so intense that I had to step out of game for a bit. Well worth it.
- adopting Riven (forcefully) <3 the hilarity that ensued was priceless
- and last but not least, *ahem* ICE DADDDDDDD!!! Holy shit. Waking up to all four Titans flitting about and being sassy was just mind blowing. The sheer preposterousness of it was hilarious, but it was also scary as hell. Getting hit for 250 elemental ice as a "top up" just blew me out of character so hard my jaw hit the floor. As annoyed as everyone was, the RP was extremely fulfilling. Thank you so much Dan, Justin, Brittany, and Adam for pulling on my little elemental heart <3
I cannot keep expressing how flattered I am for how much you guys embrace me when I visit. I love this game and what you guys have done with it. Keep being amazing.
