So I did have another thread that was seen a lot, but no replies. Since the workshop I've learned a bit and have one last question:
I recently learned to get some 'sponge neoprene with adhesive' in order to shape a trident and I need to know how many strips of what size would be ideal? (Don't want to buy too much)
What I know from the rulebook:
It is 1.25" CPVC
min/max overall length 60/72
and the blade/hand min/max length is 12/16
(Keep in mind it is essentially a three pronged spear)
Thanks!

I'm not exactly sure what Neoprene Foam is but there is how I'd make a trident
For the Open Cell, couch cushion is what you'll wanna use, or any thing else that can squish down and unsquish will work
For the Closed Cell, camping map, yoga mat or that kind of thing, can't be too hard tho
and layer it around the core
For the Core, PVC does work but fiberglass is way better, its lighter and doesnt whip. You can but from home depot extendable painters poles, the yellow ones. The 6 foot ones are perfect. you just cut of the extenderable bit and you got your core
hope that helps

Thanks for the reply, I actually found a yoga mat that fits the dimensions I wanted and is cheaper then the neoprene with adhesive. (But I will need to layer it)
So quick question, what should I use to help seal the mat together around the core? (Would some of the cement people normally use be too thick?)
Again huge thanks for that!

I use two sided carpet tape (get the outdorr stuff, its stronger and I've had reps made with indoor tape fail when the tape froze and came apart) but contact cement also works just make sure to get the stuff without solvent or else your foam will turn into a puddle.
