Writs, Festivities, etc...
#1
Dear Ralinwood,

First I'd like to say how wonderful it is to see everyone band together in celebration, new and old residents alike.

Now, on to business...

The Regent will be out and about this coming weekend on Saturday the 14th at approximately 4 bells in the afternoon (or 16 bells if you prefer) for a duration of about 3 bells. He will be accepting petitions for writs and writing writs of residency--not writs of citizenship. For those of you who have already petitioned for a writ of use, your request has been made known but please take this opportunity to approach the Regent directly.

Furthermore, with the month of Finder's Day being upon us, I would like to remind all those participating that theft is still illegal. To anyone participating in this holiday, please return all items that you find to their rightful owners if applicable and please be respectful towards those of your fellow townsfolk who may not exactly be in the most festive mood.

For those of you who are just learning of the holiday. Here are a quick run down of the rules:
  1. Findings must be found. They cannot be stolen.

  2. Findings cannot be taken from a corpse without the corpse’s permission.

  3. Findings cannot be already owned by the Finder. They must be found during the festival.

  4. The story of how something is found is as important as the Findings themselves. Lies are not permitted, but embellishments for effect are encouraged.

  5. The Great Finder is not permitted to play and must act impartially.

  6. Finders, and even the Great Finder themselves, may be of any race. All are welcome to participate.
Lastly, if the Great Finder could make themselves known to me before the festivities begin that would be deeply appreciated.

I hope you all have a fantastic time this weekend. May your hearts be light and your cups full.
