Inspecting the Docks ((TS Nov 17, 1:30pm))

[Bossova Vennirik]

"Aye-aye M'lady, I'll be sure to hit up a healer soon as I fix up the last of these bits. The chilly season'll be me resting time unless ya got yer self some work 'round Ralinwood you'd be liking this ol' Cap'n to build up or fix. I'll be round 'ere as always so don't be a stranger."

Swiggins gives a wave to Aminata and her group with a chuckle before turning to Wizwik, he points to the bow of the hull and waves his hand about as he speaks.

"Alright Tinker, yer small 'nuff I suppose to handle some gritty work. Get into the inner bow and use some o' them bolts to strengthen the connects further. Be handling 'em with care."

Once finished his instructions he looks to Melody and Roland with a smile.

"Back again eh? Two o' ya are starting to be a regular appearance 'ere. Won't hold ya up though, ya have a nice jaunt on through alright?"

Finally Swiggins returns to his work with a whistle to his rhythm.

[Aminata Gomorrah]

*Aminata turns back after a moment.*

"Oh! Yes, that reminds me. I'll need some help rebuilding items in the pavillions. I'd at least like to get a building up where I can receive guests - few as they may be at this time of year - as well as hold public audiences. Our last building was burnt down a few months ago when... Well, when it was a bit more... chaotic. Would I be able to hire you and your crew, and maybe rely on you to ensure the correct supplies are delivered once we order them?"

[Wizwik]

-Wizwik gives a salute- "Aye Aye Captain!" -he bolts off but turns around when Aminata mentions the request- "I'm happy to help Lady Aminata!~...soon as Captain gives the word of course...Right back to work, take care!~" -Wizwik bolts off to his assigned job on the ship-

"By all means, I'd be happy to help. Gives me hands something to do other than plotting out blue prints or trade routes. The main o' the crew for building at the moment be other navy members and some of me personal crew but I'll head over to talk with Captain Dumont and see 'bout bringing those folk they sent over for me with me. If anybody'll put together what yer looking for, it'll be folk like me self and me fellow Shipwrights. Just give me the word when ya want this job started up, I'll give the Captain a visit as soon as I can to get the all clear."

With a wide smile and a tall stance, Swiggins pats the side of the hull as he talks. He shakes his head with a slight chortle at Wizwik's eagerness before saluting to Aminata and returning to his work.

[Aminata Gomorrah]

*Nods*

"Thank-you kindly. And when you have the chance, please come visit, and bring the Captain with you."

*Continues down the docks. She eventually turns back and heads past Swiggins' ship towards the building where all ships go to be recorded upon arrival.*

[Ivanna]

*Upon arrival, Aminata is greeted by a burly man with a dark and heavy facial hair. The scars on his arms and hands show the years he spent as a deck hand, but the growing waistline talked about the easier life managing the docks and shipping records.*

"Good afternoon, M'Lady."

*Shading his eyes he looks at the cloud-covered sun briefly before looking back and tugging his forelock*

[Aminata Gomorrah]

*Aminata greets him*

"Afternoon, Master Rex. I've come to speak to you about the records...? I believe that cargo summaries are already being sent over, with thanks, but I'd like manifests and passenger lists as well, and to be notified if anything odd happens. If you don't mind?"

*Smiles politely, though a little cooly*

[Ivanna]

*Nods along*

"I'll send them up to the pavilions with a runner each week."

*Shuffles around some papers, tugs his forelock again, then reading a few of the papers over, he pulls out a clean chalk board tablet and starts to make notes on it. After a few minutes, he hands it to the Lady.*

"Summary for this weeks arrivals, so you can get caught up. These ships are likely to be the last to arrive, barring some stragglers. Not many left, as you can see. But for this group here."

*Taps the top of the board*

"I wouldn't look over every single one, if I were you. We have our usual lot to do inspections when we need to, and the boys and I have been taking care of things up till now."

*Pauses, looking at her frowning, rubs his temples and sighs*

"Begging your pardon, M'Lady. I've been too forward. I just mean to say... Well... I just mean inspecting every ship here, it's, it's just not.... necessary. It's, well to be clear, it's right boring, and we've got it covered. It is your pleasure of course to come and check on things whenever you'd like, and we to show you anything you wish to see. M'Lady."
