Citizens of Ralinwood,
On and off for the last three years, I’ve had the opportunity to call this settlement home while on assignment. With the increase in Brood activity on the seas, I was recalled and have spent the last year in the eastern channel waters with the rest of the Navy. You have most certainly noticed the influx of boats, officers, and arrivals from around the greater Whiteraven Alliance territories.
The liberation of Melinda is now underway. Though there was stiff resistance, our fleets have pushed the brood back enough to allow for troop transports to depart. Restocking preparations are complete, and with favourable winds upon us, we plan to set sail this Saturday at noon. If the winds keep up, on strong channel currents we should arrive around two weeks from departure.
You are now being formed as an Irregular company, owing to the indirect oversight you will receive from the Admiralty. As an Irregular company under the purview of the Admiralty, and with due deference to your efforts against the brood at Day’ten, you will be deployed as a shock team along with other Irregular companies from around the Alliance. Once the island is held and a secure position is developed, you will be returned to Ralinwood while Alliance companies see to restoring Melinda to stability. Plans are still being developed but we may be also be pairing with Irregulars from the Berphauntian Empire.
This is your formal call to arms. Pack your belongings, set your affairs in order, and prepare for the voyage east. I fully expect the settlement to serve with distinction.
