*Silently watching his brother, Brondulf clutches the chicken and walks to the crude raft he has constructed. Calming the chicken one last time, he quickly snaps its neck, gently placing it in the center of the raft, before cutting a lock of his hair to add. Finally, Brondulf places his blade on his palm, drawing blood which drips over the still body of the chicken.
Moving behind the raft, he einher pushes it out into the water, guiding it until he stands knee deep in the icy water and the raft no longer touches the sand below the surface.*
"Oh great goddess of watchful storms and tranquil hostiplatity, I offer you this gift in hopes that you may accept it. Please temper your wrath and grant us safe hospitality in the coming days."
