About the Gate TS 05-18 6pm

*Ludvic does his march around town reading a Gate update.*

Attention town proper! We as a town have successfully activated the gate! It is currently temperamental with 1 in 8 uses resulting in the expected result. The other times it is still trying to access the elemental planes. The wizard is currently the only one who can activate the gate so we shouldn't worry about misuse.

I will be starting a scholarly group to aid the wizard directly in the repair of the gate to its full power. If you channel and feel up to the challenge please contact me. During the last ritual we had a backlash due to poor judgement or lack of knowledge. I would prefer to have a solid team in place should this need to occur again.

This will not be a secretive group. The gate will be of great need and support in starting up this town. I'm sure all skills will be needed to complete many tasks. This group is being put together to better prepare for one type of task to avoid a repeat of the backlash. With all unstable magics there is a chance for unwelcomed results but I seek to reduce them by having a prepared group.

*Myra is heading back to the hospital table from the tavern as she hears the announcement. At the bit about the elemental planes her face falls and she looks utterly stricken, stopping in her tracks*

[Maximus]

*Maximus walks by eating a mushroom*

"Whats the matter Myra? Upset because the gates not working yet?"

*holds a half eaten mushroom out towards her*

"Mushroom?"

[Myra]

*doesn't even seem to notice the mushroom*
"No...no, no, no..."

[Maximus]

*Looks hurt*

"It's ok little mushroom, I think you're tasty."

*takes another bite*

[Myra]

*slightly panicked*
"Did he say the elemental planes? Through the skein gate?"

[Maximus]

*finishes eating mushroom*

"Who cares if he did all I know is that it does not work yet and that's not a big problem nor is it a problem solver."

[Myra]

*she twists her wedding ring around on her finger nervously, and speaks in a louder than normal volume*
"Is it what he said?!"

[Maximus]

"Yes."

[Myra]

*she lets out a pained moan*
"No...what happens in the elemental planes?"
