Though the days are slowly growing longer since High Winter, it is only getting colder in Ralinwood. An unusually harsh chill has coupled with the new presence of the Undead from the Catacombs to create a climate even less forgiving than usual.
To help pick up the slack, some allies from out of town have started showing up in Ralinwood more often. The Two Feather wild elves appear to be having an oddly comfortable winter. It is said that their crops have been plentiful and their hunts prolific. They appear warm and well rested despite the season, and are happy to trade with the townsfolk. They have enough food that the tribe has begun to share it with those in need, like the people whose homes were destroyed by the Mist Marauders and Undead.
The Bloodbringer orcs have started trickling into town on occasion, not to attack, but to bring supplies to their hard-fought for allies in Ralinwood. They are by no means as well off this winter as the Two Feather, but they are working to do their part.
Both the Bloodbringers and the Two Feather werewolf pack have been spotted putting down bands of Undead, but never together. Tensions mount between these two groups, racial enemies at the best of times, are forced into close contact more and more. A few isolated skirmishes haven broken lose, but without casualties. There have been rumours that small groups of Bloodbringers out in the forest have been found dead. Worse, the bodies turn up… incomplete. The Bloodbringers are quick to blame the werewolf pack, but the Two Feather deny the allegations vehemently.
