"Of course Hospital employees deserve pay Kare. They provide a valuable service. They should be willing to live destitute because it just so happens to be a service others choose to take for granted? The Hospital doesn't make a profit. I keep a ledger for it. Every month ends with a 0 because all donations that aren't used to buy potions or supplies are paid to the doctors. It might only be a silver or two, but Iris does the best she can.
If doctors want pay, they deserve to have it because they care for us when we cannot care for ourselves. You don't get to make decisions about what people should want on everyone else's behalf."

"...-sigh-...I thought you understood me better then that Grimnir...seems I was wrong...I dont want to boss people around, never have...in all this time has Iris found a way to get a physician Necromantic Arts to help our local Risen...probably not...has she even tried?...probably not. I've been doing things in my spare time to help everyone, do I seek fame and fortune for it...no...and for funding the hospital, that's what donations are for...but for Iris to say we put those who donate first before those who dont isn't the right way to do it...I dont expect either of you to think like I do, but dont put words in my mouth...I'm not looking for fame or heroism, I'm not looking for wealth and power, fuk it I'm not looking for respect anymore because I've learned from my mistakes....all...I...give a fuk about...is making sure people who risk everything to protect everything they have, that if and when they fall, I make sure they are back on their feet and continue to have a future..."

"We have that. No doctor has refused aide to anyone in this town, Kare. Your pride is what has led you to challenge Iris time and time again. When I first arrived in this township she tended my wounds I earned in a battle where many died and an arrow found its way into my lung. She asked for nothing in return, she helped me and encouraged me to keep protecting those of this town through my actions."
Grimnir rolled his neck and shook his head with a sigh.
"I want you to understand that you have much to prove, you are hot headed and vocal. Yet I have never heard you suggest a better way to do something. You must be the change you wish to see, Kare. As to learning Necromantic arts. I do not think that should be encouraged. Local risen or not, I am not comfortable with the skills of raising the dead. I train Gwen regularly on how to fight them when they arise. Actions have reactions, Doctor. You have not seen enough of this world to know what you may have set in motion."
He moves to sit under a tree and catch his breath.
"You risk causing a divide in this township when we face a foe we cannot hope to defeat. You will never justify your actions to me if you continue to act as such."

You and Vali have more or less been telling me that Iris is having people killed on a lark by denying them treatment. Name me a person who has died because Iris ordered the hospital not to treat them, when they could have been saved.
I understand you two are disagreeing with each other, but this petty horseshit is childish and frankly unbecoming of a physician of your stature. If you and the drunk want to run around the settlement raising hell because you can't come off your high horses and work with the rest of us, so be it. But do not expect us to 'understand' or 'respect' you for it.
I'm done having this conversation. I need to focus on my fitness for the coming conflicts, and I'm wasting my breath having this discussion with you."

Grimnir gets up from the tree, setting about training with Levi again, "As said, I shall join you. We will work better together knowing the limits we both possess."

"Whatever...Iris put a challenge before me to see if I could run the hospital better then her and from what I've heard most are against the idea. So I leave it as that, she took her words back or I simply misunderstood them......and stop putting words in my mouth Grimnir and Levi...I have no hidden motives behind me words, I will say it once more...I only want whats best for everyone...my view points are different from Iris so what...the only difference between me and her....I dont give up even when all hope is lost...-Kare turns around and starts to walk, but stops-...oh...and levi....for someone who was lost because of her....Zakh....I begged for her help to save him and she let him die in my hands....If you already knew I apologize for bringing that up again....thought you deserved to know" -Kare walks to the tavern and lets the two continue their work-out-

*Sven walks out of the tree line as Kare name drops his brother, walks over to him and lays an arm around him, he then motions to the tavern and shoots Grimnir an apologetic look*
