"I think it sounds like you have a good plan in mind. What kind of service will you be doing around town? I've seen Briar doing patrols... Will you be joining him?"

"Please, don't let the change of scenery deter you - make your offer."
*Sensing some hesitation, Levi also adds:*
"As for your other questions, no, we're not heading out on patrols until we think we won't be needed in town to protect townsfolk. My guess is that soon the town be offered bounties on murkers, and we are likely going to have to deal with that orc encampment when they come looking for tribute from the lizard folk."

*looks somewhat irritated, though it passes and she regains her composure*
"My Lady Mother and I would have seen to it as best we could. But here is hoping these nobles see your value amd quickly. They'll have full hands with this lot. How are you finding keeping everyone together?"

"A generous offer, even if its only in sentiment. I'd love to learn more about where you're from some time, maybe over a glass of wine away from the noise of a tavern. I haven't seen much of the world."
*Levi pauses for a moment and adds:*
"Begging no offense, but its rare to hear a high-born elf sympathetic to the sensitive nature of time among the humans. You have my thanks for the compliments.
I suspect the Lords and Lady will be a tad less amiable towards our group, but we might be in for a pleasant surprise. If by everyone you mean my companions, well, we've trained together for a time before being shipped out here. As long as there is suitable work and good drink the Emerald Company is in high spirits.
The biggest challenge, I think, will be getting everyone else together. We have the good fortune of having a host of capable and learned elves like yourself, or helpful humans like Ludvic and Daphne, to shoulder some of the burden, but there's no love lost between the southern Einher, the champions of Light, and Balthasar here. Or between our friendly natives and a majority of the rest of us. Its beyond me how we'll be expected to marshal a fighting force and keep the peace while constantly watching our backs, but hopefully those other groups see the greater good that is staying alive. Assuming some of them are not too busy shoving their heads up our Nobles' backsides, pardon my phrasing."

*Blushes a little, as if rebuked, but remains collected despite her face. At the end she laughs a little*
"For someone who doesn't think highly of nobles you have the fine manners of one who knows how to treat them. I certainly hope that at least half the town tries to... shove their heads up the nobles' backside."
*Pauses and laughs again*
"Then at least they won't be able to see enough around them to cause much trouble, or help it along if they see it. I have heard it's dark up there."
*She casts a glance at Brennus*
"The town needs someone to collect what people we have. Structure is being given to us... Though hopefully we will not be required to serve the nobles to whom we swear. La Grande Déesse Mère grant the blind some light in this matter."
*She sighs*
"As you say, we all... of us... must work together. We need a few to lead the less able by example. You didn't answer me before - will you doing, as Briar does, patrols? Joining them? Leading your own?"

I can assure both Levi and yourself that my hands are for killing things directly threatening the lands here. I have no wish to murder anyone that is a different god altogether. I've gone on one of briars patrols and while he mean well the group was woefully unorganized and one of the einher scared of the murkers before we had a chance to capture or kill them.
Briar has my respect as one following in the light. The other Uther not so much. I wont go out of my way to kill any of the einher here but don't ask me to help them in anyway either. Some form of structure or law men would be good although who you would put in that position remains a mystery.
I would like to come see your camp as long as there are no einher camping with you. I've resigned myself to sticking with someone from the company at all times. Just can't trust anyone here other then them yet. I doubt you'd have a way to chill that tea *he says with a laugh*

"Alright, I see your point. I'll keep my eyes out for murkers. I'm sure my companions would not let them go without a fight, thoigh as yet as far as I know they have yet to join a patrol. I appreciate your point of view, it is very.. enlightened these days. In some respect. But it has grown.. And unfortuantely we have not established a store house of ice just yet. Maybe some day I will throw ice shards, but for the time being I could conjure rocks and only rocks for your tea."
*Smiles*
"But I will set some to brew and cool at night, and keep it in a shady place. We'll see if it keeps cool when you all visit."

*Levi laughs, listening to Aminata then Balthasar, then adds:*
"I apologize if I neglected to provide a straightforward answer, I didn't mean to skip over that point. As much as I respect the ideas behind work he wants to do, I won't be organizing or joining Briar on his patrols until I have time to meet with the council and hear my standing orders.
It would be presumptuous for me to assume I have the authority to command a patrol, and negligent of me to take the company out on patrols while there is no group set apart to defend the town while we are gone. Its true that structure and leadership will be needed, but I can take no such duties unless ordered to. I may organize some basic martial training and group combat classes, on a volunteer basis, for those less experienced individuals."
