This will begin a series of monthly reports about the business of the Ralinwood Arcanist Collective.
The State of the Ralinwood Arcanist Collective, May 2259 Edition:
We consider you, the town, to be the primary recipients of our business dealings and welcome you to be involved in the decisions on what to invest in next for the Collective Ritual Libraries (CRLs). We have identified scrolls ourselves that will benefit the town as a whole. We present an investment structure for people interested in public use of the rituals to acquire first purchasable right* to one.
Necessary Infrastructure Rituals (NIR):
Enchantment Circle, Level 1, Enchantment
- This ritual will allow the permanence of circles and saves the Collective at least a gold in materials and five in labour per circle enchanted for 11 months. It is necessary towards future magical infrastructure for the town, as circles are essential to teaching ritual magic to mages as well.
- Currently funded: 20/40 Gold
- Persons able to source the scroll for less then 40 gold should contact Sevatar. Even price offers are of no value. We may be able to offer unique rewards for lowered price scrolls.
- Investment Opportunities: By contacting Sevatar, you can arrange to be first in the queue for private circles, defined as one not usable by any and all writ-bearing citizen(s) of town. The gold you invest will be directly put into the cost that would be charged to perform the ritual. Contact Sevatar for a quote on pricing. Investment pricing will be better then pricing after the scroll is purchased for the collective. Thus, you will receive a higher return on your coin of at least 10% by being willing to wait until the scroll is affordable. As others continue to fund it in order for their own scrolls, your investment becomes more valuable as your priority is guaranteed.
- Current Investors: Sevatar (10 gold), Jabba (10 Gold).
- As a matter of policy, all members of the Republic Arcanist Collective requiring circles will invest and fund their own circles. Only fully public circles will be considered RAC infrastructure.
This concludes the effort of the Republic Arcanist Collective to allow public investment in the magical infrastructure of the town. We hope some of you find this of interest and contact us to guarantee priority.
Rituals for Sale
Currently by quote only. Contact Sevatar or Jabba** about obtaining a quote for a ritual.
Privacy for personal use is guaranteed; The RAC takes a firm stance on the right of individuals to possess personal ritual circles.
Privacy is not guaranteed for organizations wishing to use it: All other guilds, and entities of sufficient size deemed by Sevatar, will be required to maintain a public record.
Magical Theory
A traveling scholar, Ferdouz the Cindus'Thalan, is holding lectures on magical theory. In his great generosity he is performing this public work for free and without ties to any organizations, guaranteeing access to all seekers of knowledge. The RAC fully supports this action and suggests interested parties contact Ferdouz, as he has been known to take apprentices and students into his tutelage free of cost.
* First casting that is not approved as essential to the guild's functioning. Guild infrastructure necessary rituals will be performed first to ensure efficient operations.
** Jabba is hereby publicly appointed to the role of Ritual Financial Officer (RFO).

Many thanks for the kind words, Sage Sevatar.
Should we be expecting a missive to follow detailing which rituals, exactly, we can purchase? Those without ritual background will be hard pressed to imagine what they should be obtaining a quote for. Perhaps this knowledge exists elsewhere, and I simply have not found it yet.
Perhaps you might also give an account of the events of Saturday afternoon. A good many non-mages defended you when you were most vulnerable for what is mutual benefit, and yet some still have little to no actual understanding of what transpired or the manner in which it benefits them. It may reinforce trust between the groups to foster a relationship of thanks towards the tribe as a whole, and not set an example or expectation of ingratitude. I do not recall hearing a word of thanks to them when we were entering or leaving that place, but I am known to have poor hearing.

I expect to begin training those with the potential in the coming months, Ferdouz.
I have to work with what people bring to me. We have strived to maintain that the Collective has no right over the citizens to investigate their magical potential, so I am limited in what we can facilitate. If they come forth looking for teachers, I can connect them. If they hide their abilities, I will not hunt them through the shadows.
Ferdouz, could you come find me and tell me what transpired while we were beyond the gate? A mention of the valor of our defenders is worth a story as well. I suspect I should write both.

Updates from the Battle of the Mindscape
The members of the Republic Arcanist Collective and the brave souls who would defend their friends followed Finn, Senior Representative of the Republic Arcanist Collective, to a field prepared for the purposes of exploring a mind. As the memories were faint and distant, it was expected that it would take our group of mages some time to unravel the mystical knowledge from memory.
The warriors that accompanied us watched over the ritual circle that Finn had prepared in order to facilitate this journey. They were beset by orcs who came hunting the ritual scrolls they had heard were present. It is only with their help that we were able to complete our task.
Finn performed a ritual which allowed us to travel inside his mind, to where his memory of how to perform the rituals still existed. In there, we found an elaborate series of walls and barriers that appear to represent how Finn's memory had sealed itself off. Each barrier had a lock, and in the room, we found instructions on how to perform a series of rituals.
By performing the rituals inside his mind, we were able to unlock each barrier. Intriguingly, we also awakened his conscience behind one of the barriers. Through the coordinated efforts of the mages present, we eventually unlocked all of the barriers and released ourselves from the dreamscape with the knowledge obtained. The rituals we performed within did not stay with us, but one did. It is in this way that the Collective has acquired the scroll for the ritual called 'Twilight Zone'. Should there be something we need to cloak from forces of the demonic or angelic in the future, and a psionic ritualist is available, this scroll should prove of use in defense of the town. More specific details can now be found in our documentation of available rituals posted in the marketplace. Thank you, Jabba, for organizing these.
