Winter's Bite Event Review
#21
I've been looking forward to my first day mod of 2017 and let me tell you; I was not disappointed!
There are so many things I loved about this event;
-The amount of instamods available was spectacular! even with the wait times from NPC camp because of so many going on, I felt that there was always something to do
-the loot! I've never come back from a game with such a haul. And not just from looting but wandering around, finding stuff. I feel like this is something that was a nice change from what usually happens; instead of having loot from mods, to be able to find stuff around town. Not to mention the fact that I felt that I was able to get so much more than usual.
-the personal plot; I know I'm a little biased on this as I got personal plot this event, but I loved a nice change of pace. To not just be someone in the background but have a chance to flesh out my characters story. I've been looking forward to that part of this season since it was announced and I certainly wasn't disappointed
-everything being thrown at us! All the danger of the catacombs was so fun even for being as dangerous and deadly as it was. But danger is a part of a horror based larp and  that can't be helped.
-I'm not sure what I was doing different but I sure felt like I was always doing something, and that is so appreciated.

I know everyone has the same problem with weather but let's be honest; in Canada things get cold especially in February, to think otherwise is crazy.
I love these day mods. They are such a nice break from normal mundane life and they satisfy my Larp itch all at the same time. We can't have every winter day mod be a feast night, but maybe just one of them be a workshop kind of day? Or something else to be done indoors? If there is such a thing.
I for one am happy to have more day mods, even in winter as I love playing the game. The more events there are to go to, the merrier I'll be.

This has to be one of my favourite events that I've ever played. And I know it wouldn't be even close to possible without all the hard work that gets put into running games like this. For that I thank the shapers and NPCs, the Log team, the plot team, and the game owners. They are all the true heroes of Underworld. And it's because of games like this one that not only make me and so many other players come back, but make me spread word to my friends outside larp as well.

I look forward to all that comes from the rest of this season as I found this running start so well done.

This was my first Ralinwood event and my first outdoor event. I had an absolutely great time even though I was freezing (totally my own fault) Even hiding inside the cabin with people was a ton of fun and I learned a whole of of IG stuff through RP.

I got to go on an insta mod with some other newbies and that was so fun. The scarecrow monsters were actually scary looking and I almost died and it was awesome.

Hiding inside the cabin at the end with others and finding out that the monsters could sense out magic was terrifying and felt very immersive. I may not have gotten as involved with the overarching plot but I enjoyed having the opportunity to do my own thing.

Thanks so much for a great event!
