A Clockwork Door-hinge: Event Review

Heya! This was my first event (as i said on the facebook group) and was impressed by the event overall. So I'm gonna add my pros/cons as well

Pros!
* It rocked! Lots of pretty baubles (baubles becomes a very silly word after you repeat it a hundred times in an orcish tone of voice) and other decorations/costumes really put it all in a good winter wonderland even if it was a muddy wet blah-land.
* Loved the different mods that went on, even if I missed a few from being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
* Much appreciated the loner gear I borrowed of the armour/shield/sword.
* Staff and players were friendly and helpful to me and made me feel welcome.
* Shield wall! and the shield thumping with a side of Jingle bells!
* Freaking LOVED the Santa Dragon! the mask for it rocks!
* Gob Nob Was hilarious to say repeatedly through the mod time.

Cons:
* Cold, wet and dreary. Stupid uncontrollable weather, yay for shields to act as umbrellas! and for cabins with heaters in them.
* later in the game I either missed some mods making it feel like the time between them was increasing, or the pacing slowed down a bit due to people getting cold and or the rain coming down a bit hard.
* 8 hours in about 40lbs of chainmaille. lol forgot how much that stuff taxes the body, darn near keeled over when I got home, yay for adrenaline for keeping me going.
* Couldn't find any of the boxes for Gob Nob or the Gnomish tools/parts. Not sure if i was just blind, or if it was from other people finding them too quick. But had fun saying Gob Nob as i was hunting for boxes.

I don't think there were a lot of boxes for Gob Nob. I found two and it wouldn't surprise me if 2-4 people snapped up the rest.

[Dust]

Pros:
+ Great use of site as always. Different cabins had their own effects and you'd only know if you actually went in. I'm a fan of anything i can't see until i get there, i'm happiest when oblivious.
+ Weather was combated nicely by npc camp looking out for everyone's health. Handing out hot packets and a heated cabin.
+ For a day event, Costuming was great.
+ Nice big spider filled mod site with webs everywhere.
+ Latex gets pretty hard when cold but i was happy to see not many complaints. Even saw a player ask to get hit with his own weapon as the day got colder to see its performance
+ Had a blast putting on a secret raffle and mystery gift exchange. And why would anyone think a dung ball is a nice thing to give is beyond me.
+ Had great RP, had really one oog moment
+ NPC avoided all combat under the shelter during the majority of the day until wrap up attack. THANK YOU ALL
