Dodge question

Does dodge stop slays? Or if I spend a dodge to make the slay not hit me do they slay attacks just keep coming until they hit as per the whole - "A Slay is not used up if it is avoided in any way. If the attack is avoided, the attacker may continue to attack with the active slay"

Slays stay active if you dodge them.
