Clarification of using Workshops

This will be my first event attuned and able to us a workshop for black smithing. I'm trying to understand how it works with prelog and logistics.
The workshop we have (Large Trunk) gives a production point multiplier of 2 and then says max 25pp per person. Does this mean I can have an extra 25pp each month I use the workshop? If so, does that extra 25pp come off first before my existing production point pool or do I have to use all my pp first before touching the extra 25pp?

I hope I'm making some sense here but if I'm way off in my understanding of the workshop system then please let me know.

Yep, the workshop pp caps at 25, and yes, you can use it before drawing from your own pp pool. As to how it works logistically in the database, I have no idea. I would shoot Brian an email and let him be wizard that out for you.
