The Tower Rises [ July 28th, 1:30AM ] - Promises - 07-28-2017 The Tower Rises Everywhere in Ralinwood, all at once, there is silence. Not just the moments of quiet where the sounds of the forest remain. This Is A Void Which Should Not Be And then the sound is deafening. In the distance, to where the Mage’s Tower was known to be by some, something rises out of the looming dark. The sound of stone grinding against earth as the tip of the tower spirals into the sky is deafening and leaves no doubt as to the source of the noise.
The Tower stands a hundred feet taller in the sky. It sits amongst the tallest trees. The shape in the dark is unmistakable from the town of Ralinwood. The Tower is not done yet. It begins to glow. Each stone begins to reflect like glass, with a candle behind it. A massive tower of candles encased in glass, illuminating the night to shadows just dark enough to prevent reading. If you look at the tower too long, though, it begins to show your reflection. Unblinkingly.
We see you.
RE: The Tower Rises [ July 28th, 1:30AM ] - Ccompton - 07-28-2017 --hours outside the town-- Dusara is walking the trails on the way to town, hours ahead of her, when the silence stretches across the land. She pauses and looks around carefully with a hand curled around her staff, ready to bolt if needed. As the sound rippled across the land she falls to the ground clutching her head and screams into the underbrush, staff and satchel of potions hitting the leaves and scattering. After a quarter hour anyone watching would see her shakily get up and retrieve her things, her gaze constantly being pulled to the tower that rises like a beacon over the treetops. "You will not have me", she murmurs and then strides faster towards the town. |
